Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
I've finished another wagon (Diagram 34L - boiler safety wagon) and currently working up Diagram 87, which is a 25T Well Wagon. That will leave me only nine to do. When they are complete I have to go through over 100 wagons to check lettering and common loads. I shall at that time start putting them into relevant upload packages; e.g. coal wagons, vans, etc. May even be able to upload some before Xmas?

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
I've just realised that when I complete this wagon there's only 9 left to do! Might not get a great deal done today as I'm out with the boss and our friend.

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
Nothing done in this workshop, although when we accompany our friend for their chemo at Christies tomorrow I hope to complete as many of the 9 remaining wagon sketches as possible.

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
OK then. I've completed Diagram 87 and currently looking at loads (FreightAnim) for it. This will involve one for empty and one for loaded. I have deleted three wagons from the list as they were scrapped circa 1900 or earlier, and therefore that leaves only 6 to do!

I am well on with Diagram 43 - a six-wheeler 20T Brake Van - with three parts to be finalised.

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
Not much done in this part of the workshop, and I have struggled to create realistic textures for my wagon loads; e.g. getting the coal and ballast sizes looking realistic.

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
As you may be aware I have recently uploaded the following LYR Wagon Packs:-
LYR_Fitted&Unfitted_Vans_V1 - uploaded
LYR_Wagons_BrakeVans_V1 - uploaded
LYR_Wagons_Cattle_V1 - uploaded
LYR_Wagons_Coal_V1 - uploaded
LYR_Wagons_Tanks_V1 - uploaded
I am now in the process of preparing the following packs for upload in the very near future:-
LYR_Wagons_Ballast_V1 - ready
LYR_Wagons_Bolster_V1 - ready
LYR_Wagons_LowGoods_V1 - ready
LYR_Wagons_Boiler_V1 - nearly ready
LYR_Wagons_Open_V1 - nearly ready
This leaves 3 from the Diagram Book that I won't be doing as they were scrapped between 1899 and 1904, and another 6 that have been started but are unlikely to be finished in the near future.
I would take this opportunity of pointing out that I have included a single load for most wagons except Diagrams 41 and 44 - no obvious single deck trams currently available. Also Diagram 87 doesn't have a load.
There are no consists included but I have included some basic information which might allow consists to be developed.
If you have read one of the posts in the Uploads thread, you will be aware that my wife has just been diagnosed with breast cancer and we are due to meet the consultant to discuss alternative procedures. Hence I may not be able to devote the same amount of time to MSTS/TSM over the next few months, and what I do is likely to be LNWR related in order to help generate the LNWR themed route currently being prepared by Brian..

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
Hi Alec.
Sorry to hear about Ilma, hope they can find a successful course of treatment for her. Give her my regards, thanks.
There have been a lot of uploads since I was last online, looking forward to downloading and trying them.
Sorry for my absence, I have been quite ill for a while, then my internet broke down for a couple of days, I am now catching up on the posts and emails.

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
Dave Bran has pointed out to me that the 1920s Skipton to Carlisle route includes a short L&Y branch which would allow for the recent uploaded LYR wagons to be seen - see HERE.

G'day Alec,
I wouldn't go so far as to say Skipton includes a 'short L&Y branch'. All that is included in Skipton, is a very short STUB running off the south end of Hellifield yard. The total L&R trackage is six parallel marshaling sidings and a very short HALF MILE of unsceniced line (heading towards Blackburn). If I recollect correctly, there are a number of static wagon rakes placed in these sidings anyway. I don't consider that section to be of any real use in terms of route operation - the only way would be to shunt some of the new LYR wagons in and out of the sidings and maybe have one or two LYR AI passenger trains arrive at / depart from Hellifield platforms. The operational scope is VERY limited indeed !
Regards, Brian
PS - time for a 'proper' pre-group LYR route - I'm quite busy for the moment, but watch this space.
"Any railway that paints their locomotives such a magnificent shade of red, must be the most superior in the land" (apologies to the late David Jenkinson).
Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
Hi Brian
Thanks for that, although to be fair to Dave he did use the word "stub" which I translated into "branch". I certainly will watch this space!

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
I still have some wagons to create in order to complete the LYR wagon task, and I'm thinking as a time filler I could sort out the relevant details? Watch this space for any plans.

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
It has been pointed out to me that the WAG files for the fitted wagons in the LYR Wagon uploads have an error in the braking definition section; i.e.
BrakeSystemType ( "Vacuum_single_piped" ) should read BrakeSystemType ( "Vacuum_single_pipe" )
I apologise for this and they are now corrected to Version 2.0 and will uploaded in the very near future. I should also point out that all Automatic versions are deleted from the Version 2.0 sets and hence the original folders from the Version 1.0 upload should be deleted before installing Version 2.0 folders.

All LYR Wagon Packs at Version 1.0 have been removed and all LYR Wagon Packs at Version 2.0 have been uploaded to UKTS only and should be available subject to approval.

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
Having attended the 2017 Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Society AGM last Saturday - included an interesting visit to the West Lancashire Light Railway - I think it's time to see whether I might finish those few wagon diagrams that got left behind!

Re: Rufuskins' Workshop LYR Wagons
Alec, it appears that you omitted "LYR_Wagon_D098" from you version 2 of the unfitted van upload.
