Hi David,
I will certainly be Interested to see if this works as it should..... I can't test unfortunately as I am without my Windows 7 Laptop at present as I need to order a part for it! Otherwise, I would love to test this for you..... I can imagine you will get a lot of offers on this one.....
Cheers
Andy

After leaving this route alone due to being unable to do it for almost a year I reinstalled it yesterday and made it to the top.No problems I chugged steadily to the summit.

BUT,when i start i get a "failed to find" SMS file.....file:signal.sms.

It still allows me to continue to do the game,but I have to press continue...Yes 6 times.
Does this mean I have put this file in the wrong place or has it not downloaded. Regards...roger. Embarassed

Hi Roger,
As far as I can see, signal.sms should be in the route's Sound folder Smile

Ged

This is the signal.sms file I use:

SIMISA@@@@@@@@@@JINX0x1t______

Tr_SMS (
ScalabiltyGroup( 3
Activation (
ExternalCam ()
Distance    ( 50 )
)
Deactivation (
PassengerCam ()
CabCam ()
Distance     ( 50 )
)
LoadAllWaves ( 1 )
Streams ( 1
Stream (
Volume ( 0.8 )
Priority ( 3 )
Triggers ( 1
Discrete_Trigger ( 1
PlayOneShot ( 1
File ( "sig_semaphore.wav" -1 )
SelectionMethod (SequentialSelection)
)
)
)
)
)
)
)

Obviously save as Unicode.

Hi David, looking in my Sound folder for this Route, Signal.sms is not there and it is not in
my MSTS Sound folder either, so where is this file to be got from.

Thanks
Bob

Hi,
..... there's one in each of the Europe1 and Europe2 routes! (They are identical).

Hi Ged, doing a search for this file in my many Route Folders, I found quite a few but none
exactly like the one David has posted.
I did find many that were as the two you listed and so I copied one into the Snowdon Railway
Sound Folder and added the line "LoadAllWaves ( 1 ) which was missing and so when I get
round to running this Route at least it should work o.k..

Hi,
The file isn't essential for the running of a route and only provides the sound of a semaphore signal returning to its ON position (if the wav file is present!). Several routes, eg Evesham Branch, have a signal.sms file, but it only contains this :
SIMISA@@@@@@@@@@JINX0x1t______

Tr_SMS (
ScalabiltyGroup( 3

)
)
.... so doesn't actually do anything! I assume the file must be present, for some routes, as other elements "call" it.

Cheers,
Ged

Thanks everyone,thats sorted it,so I'm a happy Chappie, though I dont understand why its needed Embarassed  as there are no Semaphor signals on the Route. Very Happy
