Rufuskins' LYR Coaches
In between LNWR coaches and tending to my dear wife I have pulled together sufficient information to try my hand at generating some Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (LYR) coaches. At the moment this involves finding and applying a suitable texture for the coach sides. My latest effort is as shown below:-

Re: Rufuskins' LYR Coaches
Hi Alec,
I think that is more than acceptable - the colours are 'clearer' than the 'smudgy' colours on the 'generic' LYR coaches that are currently available. Your colours seem to match photos of the preserved LYR coaches quite nicely. As there is not much LYR stock around to get colours from, I think yours will be quite OK as far as our train simming community goes. I say, run with those colours.
Regards, Brian

Many thanks for the endorsement and I'll push on with developing the first one.

They look very good to me; so do the shape and proportions of the windows and panelling. Roderic

The above picture represents a part texture for a Diagram 5534 Non-corridor Third (49 x 8ft arc roof), and the window and door dimensions are taken from a LYR "Platform". There are a total of 7 diagrams for the 49 x 8ft arc roof carriages. I still have to look at bogie and wheel details, etc.

Not too much done in this part of the workshop, although I may have some not unreasonable bogie details to hand! I have some alternative colours based on model paints made by Phoenix Paints.
