Blender and MSTS?

This evening I noted a reference to Blender and MSTS in a very recent post over on UKTS. Can anyone tell me what this programme does? I assume it is another 3D model creation utility - albeit freeware? I have downloaded the programme but have yet to install it. I suspect that a visit to Elvas Tower might be of value and I've added that to my never ending task list - hopefully visiting tomorrow!

Thanks for the reply Terry but that was the post I was referring to in my question. I shall visit Elvas Tower and see if there is anything there.
