Has anyone had "Windows Error #5 Invalid procedure call or argument" with Route Riter? If so, how can it be resolved?

Have you tried running the program as Administrator?

Hi David,
This was error on R-R raised back in 2011 on the UKTS Forum, but, even though Mike Simpson contributed to the thread, no answer was found.  The original poster didn't continue the thread, and it seems that the problem was caused by him using ScaleRail on a route, which, maybe, didn't have all the textures installed. That last suggestion is mine only!!

Cheers,
Ged

I have resolved the problem.

Prior to running RR I had made some modifications to the eng file and omitted some code which would be necessary to run the engine in MSTS. RR gave an error but why the error message (worded as a Windows error) which it gave?
