Hello David.
I don't have Elvas Tower so cannot read your post, Is it possible to post direct here?
At the moment there is no point in me joining the Elvas tower forum until after Tuesday when I get my upgrade and new email address.
Basically, If a driver Spads a signal, the Train protection warning system (TPWS) gives a brake demand bringing the train to an emergency stop, this can also happen
if there is a change of aspect (Signal going from green to Double/Single yellow or red or sometimes there can be a "Unsolicited" brake demand.
In all cases the train is brought to an emergency stop, The driver must immediately contact the supervising signaller by the On train moniter radio (OTMR)
Advise the train reporting number, location and signal number, and any other information required.
The Driver must not proceed without the signallers permission and will be relieved of duty at the nearest suitable location, and have his or her Train Licence
revoked whilst an enquiry takes place.
Having recently sampled the Sydney and Hunter valley trains of Australia I would be interested to know what the method is in Australia, I would
suspect it was very similar.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Andy
