Train Store
Although WSR is installed into MSTS folder, Train Store fails to pick it up and show it in list of Routes on left hand side of screen. I have been running it previously but it now suddenly has decided to play up. The route appears in the Train Store folder and I have copied and pasted it to MSTS folder but still no joy.
Thanks for looking. Regards Dave

Re: Train Store
Hi Dave,
Within the route folder; do you have the WSR.trk file anywhere? That is the only thing I can think of that will stop the route appearing in Trainstore.
As to why this may have occurred; I have no idea I'm afraid.
If the file is missing; I'd do a search for this particular file on your PC - it may have somehow been relocated by mistake.
Hope this helps

Re: Train Store
Hi Geoffrey, Many thanks for your reply. WSR.trk is missing. Can't find it anywhere. Will try reinstalling WSR and see if that brings .trk back.

Re: Train Store
Hi Art
Most routes that I download I extract to a separate folder then copy/paste into the routes folder, unless it comes with a self installer that is.
If a route is stored, trainstore hides the TRK file away in the trainstore folder, so you must unstore the route to see the TRK file.

Re: Train Store
Hi Art
The TRK file should be in the route folder, as shown below (I have used the default Settle Carlisle route folder as an example, but it's the same principle for any route)....................
Unstore everything via trainstore, if the TRK file is not there after unstoring everything, check in the Trainstore storage folder for it and copy it (and any other stored files such as paths activities etc) over to its corresponding route folder in MSTS, if it is in neither folder then something went wrong at some point, if you have a back up of the route, copy/paste the file from there, if not, re-installing the route should restore it.
Never rename a route folder or change anything in it without unstoring everything first, or it will stop trainstore from unstoring it again to its proper destination.

Re: Train Store
Hi Art
mine is on c drive yours might be some where else just scroll down until get to folder called trainstore open and there should be 2 folders 1 called trains and 1 called routes..
after runing unstore neither of those folders should be there,if they are open the routes ,folder then look for the missing route,if it's there copy and paste it to your main routes folder, hopefully the missing trk file will be there

Hi Art
i'ts worth a try,it cannot do any harm, otherwise I haven't a clue where your missing trk file has gone, unless you have accidently deleted it,you could have a look in the recycle bin.

Re: Train Store
Hi Art
What route is it? if it's KWVR the one you have been having problems with then unstore it,then copy and paste the Activities,Paths Services, and Traffic, folders and put some where safe.
Reinstall the route, then put the 4 folders back into the route.f it asks you to over write any thing say yes

Hi Art,
just do the same run unstore, if you have added actvities place the Activity Paths Services and Traffic folders into a safe place, then just install the route again,if you get any over write messages say yes, then put your saved folders back into the route folder
