North west england
Righto, here I am again. I have just installed the DVD "North West England" Version 2.2, and realise now that I need the later version which I believe goes all the way to Carlisle. So I assume I have to download the "add on" myself. That's ok (I must be able to do that as I had it before) but I am a little concerned as it seems to say before I download it I should remove the older version. That is what I don't know how to do, any thoughts on how I do this would be greatly appreciated as when I've messed around trying to do similar before I've ended up with a Non Working MSTS....Neanderthal

Hi Roger,
To remove a route from MSTS, the simplest way is to delete the route's sub-folder from the ROUTES folder.
Note that this will also remove all the activities, but will leave all the stock in situ.
However, if you set up NWE v3.0 as a mini-route, you can leave your existing version as it is. This might be the desirable option as the route is fairly large!
To create a mini-route, see my utility. DIY Mini Routes - UKTS File ID 37267
Cheers,
Ged

Re: North west england
Hi Roger,
Mid East Plus creates its own mini-route.
DIY Mini Routes is ONLY needed to create mini routes for routes downloaded from UKTS (or wherever) or for non-mini-route CDs. You originally wanted to install NWE v3.0 which is where that utility can be used.
I assume you have read the readme - RunRouteBatch is the second phase of setting up a mini-route.
Cheers,
Ged
