Welcome to TSSH Clive. Danny's South East route has been quiet of late as Danny had to take a break towards the latter half of 2014. I'm sure that when he is ready to report more progress he'll post here or UKTS.

Thanks Alec. It's great to be back after 10 months without an internet connection...... but still playing catchup and likely to be for some weeks yet.

No intention to tease...just thought the site was a bit quiet yesterday. Very Happy

Here is one of my favourite screenshots - taken some years ago before I could model my own locos. A reskin of Tim Court's BOB Class at speed on London SouthEast - one of my favourite routes too!

There is something special about your locomotives which I can't define. They look right and breathe atmosphere. I am very much enjoying South East.
What would be a treat is having the H, D1 and E1 in Maunsell green livery. Is it possible to reskin them or make it possible for others to reskin?
It is a great privilege to be able to use your route and rolling stock.

A smashing screenshot Danny. But a blue Clan Line? Mine is green.
Are there some more locos in the pipeline?
Cheers

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

Andy, The Blue Clan Line was only finished yesterday and the pic was taken on it's first trial run. I want to do models with all liveries back to 1945, but it's finding the time - I just have to do what I can when I can.

Roderic, I think this is the livery you're after. This model was made 6 or 7 years ago and was originally planned to go into MEP, but Mick decided he preferred the BR livery. I have no objection to anyone reskinning my models as long as they keep the original Readme file in the new folder. The BR and Maunsell versions of the models are different and it wouldn't be possible to reskin from the wrong model.....for instance there is no firebox door numberplate on the earlier locos.

Yes, modified shape files would be needed. Smokebox door without the numberplate and tender or tank sides to make it possible to have SOUTHERN the right way round on both sides. If it could be done it would add to variety. They are lovely models.

Lovely models Danny! The route is fab!

Are you planning on doing 35005 'Canadian Pacific' in unrebuilt form in her Black Livery?

I often thought/wondered that the Rebuilts wouldn't look too bad in Black.... Very Happy

Cheers

Andy, one of my first models - uploaded in 2008 - was Canadian Pacific in malachite - UKTS ID 19225. This has - pretty much - the correct shape i.e. curved lower casing around the driving wheels which applied to the first 10 locos. After that the lower casing became more rectangular. The Clan Line model I've just completed is not the correct shape for CP. The uploaded CP could be re-textured but the MN Unrebuilt models uploaded with SouthEast have front end improvements over the 2008 model, so the best basis for a black CP model would probably be the latest 35001. I hadn't planned for a black version but I would consider it whenever I get back to a longer spell of loco modelling.

Thanks Alec. Very Happy

My last one for the time being....I think Andy might approve.....Canadian Pacific in Wartime Black. This would be a post-War livery as I don't think Nameplates were carried during the war - not sure about red bufferbeams either. CP stayed in black until February 1946.

Now when can we have it to run in the Sim?

If someone will explain how it's done then I'll upload it to TSSH.

I must tell you that this model comes with an OR suffix in the folder name as all of my models are made for OR now. Since buying a new PC with Windows 10, MSTS just doesn't run well at all, whereas both OR and Railworks run fine. I had more or less made up my mind to switch after completing the SouthEast route in any case. It's so much easier making models for OR, as I don't have to worry about poly count, Shape fix or Polymaster. Of course the models might run OK in MSTS, it's just that I won't have tested them myself.
