Mid East Plus Version 1.0
Route Name = Mid East Plus Version 1.0
Route Author = Mick Clarke (Systema)
Route Location = KINGS CROSS TO YORK, KINGS LYNN, SKEGNESS and KNOTTINGLEY. BROAD STREET to HAMPSTEAD HEATH - North London Line
Route Mileage = TBA
Route Era = British Rail – Corporate Blue Era
Route Source = from UKTS CD Ordering at UKTrainSim for a current cost of £4.80. Please note that the actual disc is a DVD.
Additional files required to be installed = None
Route Description =
An MSTS Route available to order as noted above.
“This is a major upgrade of the original Mid East UK depicting the BR Blue era. The route now extends from Kings Cross to York, with links to Broad Street and Moorgate.
It includes The Fen district of Cambridgeshire, South Lincolnshire and North West Norfolk.
This route also includes the Yorkshire Coal Fields and Power Stations.
Many long lost lines are reinstated, including some hidden treasures in the rural back waters!”
Mid East Plus is supplied as a complete and separate MSTS installation complete with stock, consists and a range of activities.
The installation of MEP is a simple one click operation following insertion of the disc in your DVD/CD drive. Click Install MidEastPLUS on the menu. All the necessary files including Global files are provided. There have been several changes to various 'default' files. This is one of the major reasons why it needs to be a mini route. If you try to use it in a standard MSTS set up there could be problems. Mike Simpson’s Mini Loader is provided for controlling the 'live' activities. The route comes with all stock, consists and activities activated. In order to be able to run the route after installation you will need to select an activity from within Mini Loader to run.
This route represents a “Tour De Force” by Mick and shows what can be done with an existing route.
Perhaps it could also encourage others to look at incomplete routes and see whether they could complete them.
