Hastings DEMU Class Formations
Hi all,
Getting ever closer to finishing this off and with other items I am finding all the time. Does anyone have class 201/202/203 Carriage Formations and Headcodes that were run in the South East, I need to try and cover every eventuality.
I currently have the popular 22 headcode setup for Charing-X - Hastings. But maybe even some that were off-route?

Class 201 or 6S "Hastings Line" sets comprised DMBSO+TSOL+TFK+TSOL+TSOL+DMBSO with a total of 7 units. S indicated "Short" cars (58ft 0in).
Class 202 or 6L "Hastings Line" sets comprised DMBSO+TSOL+TFK+TSOL+TSOL+DMBSO with a total of 9 units. L indicated "Long" cars (64ft 6in).
Class 203 or 6B "Hastings Line" sets comprised DMBSO+TSOL+TFK+TRB+TSOL+DMBSO with a total of 7 units. B indicated a "Buffet car (64ft 6in). They also ran without buffet cars later with the TRB being replaced by either a TSOL or a TFK, and in some instances as a 5 car set with no TRB (1034,1036 and 1037). It is worth noting that unit 1032 gained 2 short cars.
I have taken this information from Hugh Longworth's book on FG DMUs.
If you want a range of car numbers let me know?

Some Excellent Video footage here of Hastings DEMU's right at the end of their career;
Lets hope once mine is done for MSTS it is an asset to this footage and when they once roamed Hastings to London.
