Class 202 DEMU
Hi all,
Having just completed my latest activity which I have uploaded to UKTS, I am going to b spending some time concentrating on creating a Class 202 Hastings DEMU. Justin has kindly pointed me in the direction of some Blueprints for this. But at a cost of £11, of which I don't have at the moment, I am wondering if anyone can help me in my endeavour by pointing me in direction of side on views and front and back of the Hastings DEMU coaches that I may be able to create into a .BMP file, thus I hope giving me the start in creating which I believe is the start in designing your engines/coaches or whatever it may be??
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Andy

Re: Class 202 DEMU
Thanks Alec for your kind offer.
This I want to succeed in creating for MSTS as the only one available is from Making Tracks. This way if I do 1001 Hastings Demu and once done successfully I can allow others to do any Texture or repaints on it. I can't find it at the moment, but I remember seeing a picture of one in a Red/Maroon livery. Obviously it must have been a one off!
Cheers

I note that you refer to unit No 1001, which is actually a Class 201 (TOPS definition) or when used on SR/BR(SR) was known as 6S; i.e. (6 Short carriages).
The Class 202 (6L) was the Long carriage version and the 203 (6B) included a Buffet car.
I'll add the additional information for those as well.

Re: Class 202 DEMU
Thankyou Alec. And apologies yes you are correct in what you have said. I always referred to them as a 202 unit. I completely forgot they came with buffet cars and I didn't know there was a difference in length either.
Does anyone know the location of the photo of the one in Red/Maroon livery?
Thanks
Andy

. My house was at the very left hand side of the photo!
Lucky you! Although seeing as you're only in your 30's you would have missed all the lovely Southern steam!

TBH Danny, if I was born much earlier, I would have preferred being bought up in Surrey in Hampshire backing onto the Mainline watching my favourite Bulleids (WC's, MN's and BoB's) flying at speed! And then having the opportunity of bunking Nine Elms Shed, which a lot of people used to do!
