Passenger View Empty Passenger View

Post  35005CP Mon 17 Jun 2013, 7:40 pm

Hi all,
Today, I have been playing in getting my DEMU into MSTS and now getting used to PolyMaster with thanks to Justin for his help.
A question if anyone can help answer please?
How do you get the Passenger view without an error being flagged?
I have put this into the .Wag file;

Inside (
        PassengerCabinFile ( DEMU_TSOL_Coach.s )
    PassengerCabinHeadPos ( 0.8882689 2.481328 -8.953415 )
    RotationLimit ( 0 80 0 )
    StartDirection ( 0 180 0 )
        Sound ( "genpasswagmodern.sms" )

Question is it flags up an error on a line that isn't there... If I take this code out it loads up fine. So there must be an error somewhere within this?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,
You've got an open bracket - Inside (  - but no close bracket.  Could this be the answer?
The line number it flags will probably be one after the last line in the file.

ConText is very useful for finding spurious or missing brackets!

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Ged,
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I've now put the ")" at the end of the Inside line and although there isn't an error now, am not able to get View 5 to work? I am about to Unstore everything and try again to see if this resolves the Issue.
Thanks
Andy

The closing bracket will be needed at the end of the Inside statement, not the Inside line.

That is following the "Sound ( "genpasswagmodern.sms" )" line.

Thanks David. The 5 Passenger view now works, even if it isn't in the right place. How do you know what figures to put on these lines in order to get them right?
Thanks
Andy

Thanks for all your help. I seem to have got it just about right after much messing around with the figures and understanding them better. Some texture work to do and some gaps to close up. But getting there.
Thanks again guys! Very Happy
Cheers

This suggests another HFL part methinks.
