MSTS Track Viewer
Hello all,I have a query, nothing serious I hope, but can anyone tell me how or even if its possible to print off, or copy to pictures,or anywhere else for that matter, from the MSTS track viewer.
Also I have tried twice to download Route Riter, but nothing seems to happen (not that that's unusual for anything I download).Cheers.
Finally (for now,I've got a million questions) and I find this one hard to express;
If I install a bought CD from UKTS (we'll say) which has Magnetic Platforms I assume that if I get rid of that route the Platforms go with it.
But if I in the meantime I had downloaded a route direct from UKTS that needed them I wouldn't have to download them again as they are already present, but should I then decide to get rid of the Cd route would the Magnetic Platforms disappear or stay,i.e, would I now have to download them again? Regards Roger

Re: MSTS Track Viewer
I use track viewer when I want to do a track map to show progress of my route.
I simply get what I want on screen, press the "print screen" key, open up my picture editor (adobe photoshop), select new and paste. Then I just crop off the non-track portions.

Roger
Have you tried to download Route Riter from Mike Simpson's site here.
Alec
PS The magnetic platform downloads - if I remember correctly - tell you where to locate them. The S and SD files go to one location and the ACE files go to another. I can check this evening.

Re: MSTS Track Viewer
Magnetic platforms install to the Global folder.
If you simply delete the route they will not be removed.

Re: MSTS Track Viewer
Thanks Ian,I must admit that it did have me going, now I know,I'm Happy.
Nice one Niall,spot on,job sorted.
And once again thank's Alec,at last I understand about the Magnetic Platforms and "Yes" that was where I downloaded RR from, but as I don't make routes and the like I've decided to give up totally on it.
Once again if proof were needed this is the Forum to be on.

Re: MSTS Track Viewer
I quote from the readme in the magnetic platform downloads:-
Locate the Train Simulator\Global\Shapes folder and copy the S and SD file into this folder
Locate the Train Simulator\Routes\YourRoute\Textures folder and copy the ACE file into it. The platform sections will be available in any route that has the relevant ACE file installed in its Textures folder.
Hope this helps others, Alec
