Dorset Coast 3, 4 & 5
Hello all, There I was feeling quite pleased with myself having gone up from the CD Dorset Coast to v4 and then v5 and it actually worked. But I appear to have hit a small problem, which may always have been there in an act I have not used. I am missing a Loco and cannot find it on UKTS,though I assume it must be there somewhere.
I'm looking for ; UK_Diesel_EWS_Class66_66247 , but it's certainly not in my Trainset Folder. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful.
Secondly, I would like to go a step further on Dorset Coast and get to Salisbury, but there is a warning about "Paths" and not all acts will work if I take this step. So simply what I wish to know is that "If I upgrade to v6" but do not add any Activities would this still be a complication or would the older Acts still work ?
Thanks Neanderthal.

Hi Roger,
66247 is available from UKTS as file ID 3255 although it has a different folder name (and, maybe, file name).
If it is required for a specific activity, is there anything in its readme regarding a source for this loco?
If you upgrade to v6, the changes to the track database will make some paths from the previous version/s invalid - this is what the warning refers to. It makes no difference if you omit the v6 activities. Some of the earlier activities might work but couldn't be guaranteed.
There are a large number of activities for v6 in the UKTS library.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Dorset Coast 3, 4 & 5
If anyone is considering upgrading from v5 to v6 of Dorset Coast, there is a file over at trainsim.com that contains every path that I had at the time for the previous versions which I revised to work with v6. It's called "dorsetv6fixedpaths.zip".
If you are tempted, please read the included readme before getting started.

Re: Dorset Coast 3, 4 & 5
Thanks very much for that Bob. Only one question please.
Do I remove the old Path file before putting the new one in, or will the new one overwrite the old.
Thanks in advance...Neanderthal

Re: Dorset Coast 3, 4 & 5
You just let the new one overwrite the old one.
DO NOT copy all of the paths from my collection to yours. MSTS (or OR) will take forever to load. ONLY copy the paths from my collection if you already have them in yours.
