ROUTE BIN FILES
Hi everyone I'm hoping that a fellow train simmer will have the answer this problem. I cannot open a route bin file using my fully updated Window 10 OS; when click on the file it asks which app I wish to use to open same I have no idea as previously I thought that it was automatic. I have 7 zip and context editor installed any ideas please. All suggestions gratefully received. Thanks to all in anticipation. Ken H.

Hi Ken,
You've posted in an Open Rails Forum, but aren't .bin files for Train Simulator 20xx??
Cheers,
Ged

Re: ROUTE BIN FILES
Hi Ged I am try to install Reg Furness's Ashburton V2 from UKTS and this is what I see when click on the installer. I'm baffled I have installed many a route by these very same methods. Thanks for your interest. KenH

Re: ROUTE BIN FILES
Hi Ken,
My apologies
It's a long time since I've seen that sort of archive!
Unpack the files :
ash_v2_rsetup.exe
ash_v2_rsetup-1.bin
ash_v2_rsetup-2.bin
ash_v2_rsetup-3.bin
ash_v2_rsetup-4.bin
into a single folder, then double-click the .exe file.
This is covered in the readme
NOTES :
1. The installer will only install the route into the default MSTS installation (as defined in the Registry).
2. The route must be installed into a full default MSTS installation due to the use of an installme.bat file.
Cheers,
Ged
