A difficult decision by Rufuskins
After much consideration I have decided to stop posting on TSSH as I can see very little point in so doing. I will not be losing my interest in MSTS or TSM and I shall continue to develop virtual models as and when, and in particular LNWR coaches. If they warrant upload that will be via UKTS. TSSH has been available for over 5 years and Justin should be thanked for starting it.
My life has changed since the death of my beloved Ilma and I believe I need to look at other things in life in addition to railway related themes.
I wish those who do read TSSH all the best.

Hi Alec,
I have enjoyed reading your posts these last few years including all the ups and downs of what you have been doing. The models that you have created are a great testament to the skills that you have achieved.
The loss of Ilma was such a momentous change in your life that takes a lot of getting used to and time can never fully ease that pain ( please forgive me if I'm not expressing this very well as I sometimes find putting my thoughts in writing very difficult ).
You will be sorely missed on this forum but I wish you all the best for whatever you do in the future.
Stephen

Hi Alec,
Sorry to hear of your decision, but I'd like to echo Stephen's sentiments.
Although I haven't responded, I have followed the trials and tribulations you've endured while creating your model railway, with interest. Many moons ago, I had similar visions - I had built up a large collection of rolling stock, but then I got married! Eventually, I sold everything!! Nowadays, it all seems a lot more expensive but I'm happy with MSTS/ORTS - it doesn't take up any physical space.
Good luck for the future, mate You know where we are whenever you want to chat, or discuss something.
Cheers,
Ged

Hi Alec
It has been a great privilege to be serving MSTS community over the past 10 years.
Your fleet of first generation DMU project was a very large project and I have driven some of your units. In fact, I did drive a BR Green Class 101 on the Westvale route earlier this year which I did took a screenshot at Boxfield, and that picture was posted in the "Screenshots from Me" thread. Your 1st Gen DMU project was very interesting, even included hybrid units, parcel units and departmental units.
Obviously you later moved on to modeling LNWR coaches and I have seen your projects in the posts, but I have to say I'm not interested in 1920s steam era stuff! Indeed that's what MSTS community is only doing now.
MSTS community (and obviously TSSH) is not the same without you. I'm no longer involved in MSTS either, I now do projects for TS20XX.
All the very best for the future.

Hi Alec.
I echo all the above, you will be sorely missed on here.
If you don't want to post any more about your projects, at least pop in to say hello occasionally.

Hi Alec,
Whilst I am sorry to hear that you will not be posting on TSSH any more (you were the first to sign up after I created the forum), I can sympathize with your situation. Many of us have faced a massive change in our lives since this forum started way back in January 2013 and it does put a strain on what we do and how we live our lives.
I do hope that you don’t give up on TSSH entirely, I have enjoyed reading up on your exploits in both MSTS and in model railways, with out your updates things will be somewhat duller for me.
I do wish to echo everyone’s thoughts on here, and as Mark has said, please drop by and say hello every so often, we will miss a great deal.
Regards,
Justin
