Re: Texture Issue
When I attempt curved "textures" I actually create/draw the curve on the BMP image. Others may know different.

Re: Texture Issue
Thanks for the reply Alec. But, there must be someway of doing this from looking at the texture files for the other Platforms I have seen? The texture files for other Platforms have a solid straight texture in the BMP file and not rounded.
I have checked all through my routes and some downloads I have done today and all are exactly the same. Maybe Niall or Danny or even Clive can advise on this one?
Cheers
Andy

Hi Gentlemen,
I know that a little knowledge can be a very dangerous thing!
However, in one of the TSM tutorials, there's an exercise to wrap a texture around a cylinder, or a sphere, I can't remember which! Maybe the same procedure could be used for your platforms, Andy.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Texture Issue
Hi Andy (and all),
I'm back after a much needed break where I stopped doing anything MSTS related.
The way I texture a curved platform is to make the platform as a long straight with however many sections you need to make the curve. I then texture the top, sides, and ends, deleting the bottom polys. Then in point mode make the curve. As long as the width of the platform, and the length of each section, is kept constant, the edging will follow the curve.
Cheers

Re: Texture Issue
Hi Clive,
Glad to have you back! I was getting really worried about you!!
I did work out how to do this in the end. I completely forgot about this thread. But this might be useful for others!
Cheers
