Rio Grande Southern Route v3
Just wondering does anyone have this route downloaded,it comes as a single file from UKTS but doesn't appear to run !.I've had a quick look through it but don't really know what I.m looking for, though I have noticed the Global File that comes with it contains both a Shape and Textures file that are empty.Thanx in advance.

The same file can be found on Trainsim.com HERE, but it appears to be the same size. Have you checked to see whether there is "installme.bat" file that needs to be used? If there is one it should be located within the Route folder.
I have just viewed the Readme for this on Trainsim and I include part of it below:-
[i]To install
1.)Extract the .zip file
2.)Copy the extracted folder 'or' to the routes folder inside your MSTS folder
3.)Run Installme.bat
4.)Run MSTS but it may take a long time to load the first time because it has to generate terrain buffers which were removed to reduce the size of the downloads.
5.)Enjoy the 'Silver San Juan Senic Line of the World'[/u]

Re: Rio Grande Southern Route v3
Thanks for that Alec,I've now got the route, but do need some stock to run on it,It's 3 foot narrow gauge,I've found one loco on UKTS,but for some reason it just wont run for me and no 3' coaching stock, except on Elvas Tower, and being a new member it appears I'm not allowed to download anything until I've written X amount of posts, which would more than likely take Months. So if anyone knows of a 3' stock DVD/Cd and where to order it (nothing on Amazon) please let me know......

Re: Rio Grande Southern Route v3
Are you registered with Trainsim.com because there appears to be freeware stock available to download there, well at least some steam locomotives as a search on their site gave the following result http://www.trainsim.com/vbts/tslib.php?searchid=3988882 .
Coaches can be found here http://www.trainsim.com/vbts/tslib.php?searchid=3988902 , and wagons are also probably available.

You will find all NG locos for the American NG Routes on Trainsim.com.
Click on File Library, then Search all sections, and look through Steam Locos. It's a long list and you may have to look quite a way back to find them.
If you want NG stock, you will have to look through the Passenger Coaches & Goods wagon lists.
Another good NG Route is South Park. This is one of the Denver Rio Grande routes and is quite a long route. It comes in about five parts, the latter parts being upgrades. and there are a few fix files that are needed.
Try Sumpter Valley, another good NG route.

STEAM will ALWAYS be King! It gave us our Great British railway network, which we all enjoy through simulation

Re: Rio Grande Southern Route v3
Sadly I have had to call it a day,my knowledge let me down again.I found a lovely pack of NG Steam Loco's (C&S 280 Pack) but failed to find any Carriages that would couple up to them.so changing Tack I found some NG coaching Stock (SVcoach and SVry pass)but then could not find a Loco that would go with them.If anyone want's the Map of this Route I will put it on this Site, but obviously NG is not the "in thing" on MSTS.

Hi Roger,
The svcoach file is a reskinned Mk1 and not narrow gauge! The one you want is svcoach1.zip
If you put Sumpter Valley into the searchbox on trainsim.com, you'll get 5 pages of which about 4 are of rolling stock, including steam locos.
Cheers,
Ged

Once again I must "thank you" Ged,it goes to show that you will (almost) always find someone on TSSH that knows the answer.
So here I am fighting my way up the grade from Durango.
