Malicious Email
Hi All,
I have just seen an email with the following header :
Voice Message Attached from 01636605058 – name unavailable
It purports to come from voicemail@inclarity.net.
Both the telephone number given and inclarity.net are genuine, but the message doesn't come from either!
More details are available here : http://myonlinesecurity.co.uk/inclarity-net-voice-message-attached-01636605058-name-unavailable-fake-wav-malware/
Your email system should either reject this message, or place it in the SPAM/Junk folder, but whatever you do, please DON'T open the zip file. Just delete the whole email, wherever it's been delivered to, from your system.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Malicious Email
So far no antisocial email wrt voice mail, but it's a pity about some of the others.

Re: Malicious Email
Hi All,
If you receive an email entitled UK Fuels E-bill, please DO NOT open it in Word, as instructed. It contains a malicious macro which downloads an executable; this collects information about your system and configures itself to run at Windows startup.
Although I have received such an email, the above information is from : https://techhelplist.com/index.php/spam-list/693-uk-fuels-e-bill-malware
I think the important point is that if you really had a genuine invoice, it would be addressed to you personally, and not as "Dear Customer"!!
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Malicious Email
For one brief moment I thought all my troubles were at an end, as I was informed by e-mail that there was $5.5 million dollars available to me from a bank in Nigeria! I mean all I needed to do was supply them with copious quantities of personal information . . . . . (Mind you I suppose it could have come via DFID!)
Then of course reality re-surfaced and the e-mail was placed in SPAM!

Re: Malicious Email
It would appear that my email address is doing the rounds as apparently my Facebook password has been reset due to suspicious activity.
Mmmmm . . . let me think about that?
Oh yes, I remember now I'm not on Facebook!

Re: Malicious Email
I got one from China yesterday coming from China and Shanghi Bank by all accounts I've got half share of 3 million yen,it was on my yahoo address which I only use for testing PC Rail signal sims.
At present I'm testing a new timetable for the Plymouth sim,set in 1911,surprising how many of the locomotives in use then lasted well into BR days, the other one I helped with was Newton Abbott, which covers the route from Dawlish Warren,to Aller Junction, and the Teign Valley line, the time table keeps you on your toes as it is set in the 1950's lots of light loco movements, bankers coming on and off shed.
