Hi Art,
I don't know how to help you Shocked
As you say, the locos you're looking for are in the relevant folders - do the actual error messages show a full stop before the eng part of the name? (You've not shown it!)
I've checked the consists and they are correctly named - are you sure you've installed the locos?

Cheers,
Ged

They are AI locos.  Were they included in the stock downloads or do they need to be created?

Hi Ged.

Sorry yes there if a full stop before the .eng file and yes they are in the download stock list with the Act.  I have them saved but not sure how to install them i think that it is done the same way as i installed the Act.  Can you check the MMLs 40927 and the 4P 41162 is correct locos please???

Hi Art,
Loco #40927 is in download file ID 30788 and #41162 is in download file ID 31386.

As downloaded, they are zip files - unpack them to a temporary folder and you'll find two files in each. One is a txt file (readme) and the other is an executable (.exe); just run the exe file and it will find your MSTS installation and install the locos and consists in their correct folders. If you haven't got Windows to show file extensions (and why not?!), the txt file is shown as Text Document and the exe file is shown as Application.

The readme advises you that the 3 Cylinder sounds (file ID 2896) should be installed to use these locos.

Although you won't need it for this activity (as they're AI locos), to use the Compounds as Player locos, you need to install Refman's Fowler Cab (file ID 20803) - but I've a feeling that you've already got it!

It really is very straight forward and you shouldn't have any problems, thanks to Martin Smile

Cheers,
Ged

Hi All,
There seem to be two items missing from the Stock List for this activity!

1. File ID 25689 - exLMS Van Pack3 - The early years
2. File ID 26515 - Stanier Ex LMS Coaches Maroon

Also, UKTS_25760 is specified as Derby_Black_5s_v1.1 but this download is now v2; it probably makes no difference, but thought I'd mention it in case someone is looking for v1.1!!

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Art,
Which Activity have you installed for Thames Trent? Is it UKTS File ID 31433? If so have you tried downloading UKTS File ID 31167?
Let me know how you get on.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Art,
Can I suggest you try downloading the File ID I suggested and see how you get on after downloading and installing it?

Hi Art,
Sorry for the delay, but I've only just logged on Smile

The brake van you're looking for is in download file ID 31167 - it IS on the Stock List!!

You must install all the stock on the stock list before running the activity!  It doesn't matter if you've already got any because they will over-write.
Alternatively, when you've installed the activity, run Route Riter just for that activity, and it'll tell you what's missing.

Cheers,
Ged

EDIT : Thanks Andy Smile

Hi Art,

As my memory isn't good, what I have done is written down all the stock needed for prior activities, then when a new activity comes along,I check the down load list, against my list, and then just down load the items needed for the new activity, and then add them to my list as well.

It saves worrying then about have or haven't I got a item, and also saves getting error messages when trying to run a new activity.

Hi Art,
I have a little note book,I write down the routes I use and a list of stock for each route, then as I said before,I check my book for the route and the stock, then just down load the missing items, then amend my book.

Hi Art

It's simple you write route name, then the items of stock then their file id number.

Then when a new activity comes along all you to look for is the file id numbers,if it;s in your book then you don't have to down load,if it's not then down load it,and then add the details to your list in the book.

Hi Art,

It's no secret!!
You gave the file name which was missing from your installation (\exlMS-Brakevans\exMR-Brakevan-D1568-F-T&5.wag), which we always ask. As I hadn't had any problem with this activity, I used the D1568 part of the name (only part because I could see at least one typo, so I used what I thought was the key part of the whole name) and did a search on my TRAINSET folder - found the folder it was in, then back-tracked from there to identify the file ID.

Cheers,
Ged
