Steyning
Route Name = Steyning Line
Route Author = Bob Pegg
Route Location = Southern England
Route Mileage = Approx 30-40 miles
Route Era = Steam and early electric.
Route Source = from UKTS CD ordering (current cost is £4.80 which includes one month’s premium UKTS membership).
It is also possible to download the route only but there does seem to be problems with broken paths in some activities.
Additional files for the download version may be required, although the UKTS CD Version is complete.
Route Description
An MSTS Route supplied as a CD noted above complete with activities and the relevant stock to run them.
The route is primarily a steam era one, and covers the south coast main line between Brighton and Shoreham, then on to what was until the 1960’s Shoreham Junction, where it branches off north, following the River Adur across the South Downs via the Adur Gap, then continuing north through Steyning to Itchingfield Junction where it joins the Mid Sussex main line and on to Horsham, where this route terminates.
This entry was prepared by Martin Pope (Mendes).
