Nomination of Moderators.

Hi everyone,

Now as I cannot be on the forum 24/7 (work and sleep prevent that ) I would like to announce the openings for moderator positions.
I have no limits to the number of people to which can be moderators so any number can join.

Unlike other forums these moderators would be used to help people signing up, answer any questions and generally keep and eye on things.
We are not having any issues at the moment, so actual checking of posts is unnessaceary.
That and the fact that users can edit there own posts without a time limit as they are not locked means any problems can be easily sorted out.
So basically you would just be looking after the site whilst I'm not here.

Please let me know who you would like to see as a moderator or if you have any issues with someone who has been nominated.
I will allow voteing on the list of moderators once I actually have a lsit.

I'll gladly take you onboard, what hours are you available?
Not setting up a roster, but I am currently unemployed so can cover most of the hours between UK 11pm till around 12noon (AU 10am till 11pm). Are you capable of handling the UK 12pm till 7pm 'shift'?

Alec has put forward some very well thought out ideas and plans for insuring the future of this forum and MSTS, and has been doing a great job helping boost our numbers and welcoming the familiar face to the new home, so he has been made a high grade moderator. I hope you will all show him the same respect and help that you have given to me.

Look out for his input over the following days.

Oh dear! I committed the cardinal sin of volunteering, but based on the quality of the current membership I don't anticipate having to do very much!

However I also volunteered to create a "thread" that would contain a good selection of relevant links, such that a newcomer would have them all available in one location. The majority of them are self evident; e.g. trainsim, steam4me, UKTS, etc.

I was also considering creating a "thread" that contained a list of files that could be considered "standard" to MSTS, again such that a newcomer would be able to identify them in one location; e.g. NewRoads, XTracks, TrainStore, etc. It could also include links as to where they could be downloaded.

I would hope to put these in a thread by the weekend, but rather than post additional recommendations into this thread and thus making it potentially "long", perhaps you who comprise the great and the good could PM me with your suggestions.

To the current membership these will all be relatively obvious, but I would hope that we could provide help to newcomers in one area rather than spread over a myriad of posts.
