Re: Just a Screenshot!
Here's a picture of NSWGR 36 Class Locomotive 3616 on the Australian Tumulla Bank route. This comes from the UKTS Team Alco CD for this class - the route is an added bonus - which I have bought for use with Brian's NSW NW V3 route.
I have created a new MSTS install specifically for Australian routes, and I shall be checking to see what other routes and stock I can download via Steam4me.

Re: Just a Screenshot!
I've continued my jaunts down under with a part drive on the BHP route - available from Steam4me HERE - with 2 locos and a rake of 228 wagons!!! There are a number of activities and the stock is also available at the same location. The activities are long - varying from 4 to 6 hours - but could become monotonous, although I had trouble once I started going downhill having to apply emergency braking to avoid excessive speed!

Erm, Have you tried using the Dynamic Brakes going down hill, Alec?
Depending on the gradient, you may have to also reduce the train brake by 10%, I have the ore train downloaded and have the short south route downloaded from Steam 4 me,
In my case It is for "Route learning" as I will be spending four days in Sydney on my way home from a marathon Holiday touring New Zealand .
Perhaps not an appropriate thread, but If any of our New Zealand Australian members are reading this, Could you give me some ideas of Railways and Railway Museums in North Island and also the Sydney area.
Going back to the ore train, 234 Wagons seems rather a lot, Alec, The consist I had was 104 cars with two further locos marshalled towards the middle, a similar practise to USA/Canada.
Cheers
Andy.

Thanks for the driving tip. My driving skills have always left something to be desired in particular when driving steamers.

Re: Just a Screenshot!
That's pretty impressive Niall Looking forward to your new version of your route, although I am a steam buff, I will definitely be downloading the stock appropriate for your route, so that I can run the activities for it.
I will be able to get rid of the oily rag, take off my boiler suit and spruce myself up with a collar and tie, just to drive those lovely Carmine & Cream loco's for a change.
I will still keep with steam or the green diesel era for most of my journeys on the routes I like.

Re: Just a Screenshot!
A huge thankyou must go to Will (willtilston567) over on UKTS as he sent me his copy of the Evesham Branch as he posted over on UKTS recently due to the fact he has gone over to the other said Sim and was getting rid of his MSTS Add-On's!
Had a play with this last night and this morning and such a great route I must say. Here is a screenshot that I have taken. Enjoy!
Cheers
