Ferrovia Eletrica Val di fienne
Well here I go on a ramble again, over on Train Sim .com I found another route upgraded to O.R. (remember this is Retro)
It's by Guido Ferretti (timetable 57) and upgraded to run in Open Rails.
If you are interested it's to be found at
Trainsim.com File Library- by section Open Rails Routes (file 88703)
Now before you D/L it I must let you know that it is certainly Retro, and exceedingly charming. It's very Mountainous with gradients of 5% both up and down.
I have completed the first Act and loved it, but try it yourself, the T.T. is quite easy (and there is a short wait for approaching trains at a few stations).
Enjoy

Re: Ferrovia Eletrica Val di fienne
So I have now done a Freight act (Electric) which also went well.
But the Steam act is not correct. I'm sure I asked this question once before and have tried to find the answer I was given but failed, so,
Can anyone tell me how to correct the "SQUARE" smoke circled. I seem to remember that I copied a file from another D/L, but cannot for the life of me
find it again (I cannot remember where to find it, nor do I remember what it was called).
I thought I had written it down (or maybe saved it somewhere), so here's hoping !

Hi Roger,
Have a look in the GLOBAL > TEXTURES folder for a file named smokemain.ace.
If it's not there, copy it from any other installation or there are several available on trainsim.com - search for smokemain in Description
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Ferrovia Eletrica Val di fienne
once again "Thank You".Ged.
I was rather amused when I went into the Globals to find there was no "Textures" file in there
Anyway I have copied a complete "Textures" file and placed it and now smoke is OK.
(I have also copied where to look should this happen again into my Train Sim Book.

Thanks for flagging this one up. Great fun. But I was getting a bit dizzy with the constant changes of direction as the line climbs up the side of the valley.
And the catenary is certainly different.

Re: Ferrovia Eletrica Val di fienne
Yes, as you say Retro but very nice. I have just finished the passenger run up the line. Plenty of time at stations.
Information about the real line here:
https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrovia_della_Val_di_Fiemme
Closed in 1963. What a pity. I am sure it would be a tourist attraction in its own right now.
