Hi all

Just a heads up for a couple of recent activities uploaded to my part of the file library.

‘Friday night express’ is for the Mid East plus route.

‘Ascot race day special’ is for Dorset Coast.

I hope you enjoy them!

Richard

Hi Richard

I have just completed Friday Night Express, in stages, over several nights.

Great to see MEP populated with steam and green diesels. I was too young for steam at Kings Cross, but spent many a happy hour at Waterloo experiencing the final days of steam in the South.

I was on time throughout, but then arrived 20 mins early at Kings Cross.

I had to make use of the emergency brake throughout to cope with the station stops, signal checks, and speed restrictions, as the normal brake seemed to have little effect on the speed of the train.

This was a splendid activity, packed full of interest, and kept me on my toes at all times.

I may try Ascot Race Day Special later, if I already have most of the stock, but it is not really my period of interest, so I would be reluctant to download too much stock.

Thank you and kind regards
Mike

Hi Richard,
Great to see you are on TSSH; please keep your BR green activities coming they are always such interesting and accurate representations of the real thing and that is no mean praise from a now old man who in a previous life was a special class relief signalman at Finsbury Park in the 1960s and 70s.
Best regards KenH.

Hi Mike

Glad you enjoyed the activity. It was a fun one to create, although OR does make the vacuum brakes on the diesels a bit all or nothing!

Ken

Many thanks for the feedback. I enjoy the research as much if not more than the creation of the activity. Your kind words are much appreciated!
