Hi Roger,
It seems to be legitimate, but is only for Train Simulator 20xx, not MSTS or Open Rails.

This is from their 'About' tab :
Golden Age Developments is made up of a number of passionate content creators - primarily route builders - who want to bring high-quality content to you that you can be proud to drive in Train Simulator. The team currently consists of 81F Adam, Adam, Andy, Ash, Anthony, Harry, Joe, Matt, Leonard, Monty, Trolley and Tom. Between us, we have many exciting plans that we look forward to sharing with you soon!

There is also golden-age-rails.com, again, mainly concentrating on add-ons for Train Simulator 20xx but it does have a very few US wagons for MSTS.
It is run by a German named Michael Stephan who, I'm sure, has been a contributor to trainsim.com.
