Trying out an "OR" Yankee Route Prr10

When I decided to try out an American Route I didn't expect to be driving through a Porthole. Very Happy

Yes, a great route - though it takes about eight hours to drive from the East Coast (Atlantic City) to the western end of the route. Very distinctive signals and overhead (I wouldn't want that outside my window). And the GG1 is one of the iconic electric locomotives.
My son is slowly modelling the line in HO.
You will find that the electrification is not complete. That is correct. Much of the eastern section was done (but not Atlantic City to Philadelphia), and a part through the mountains, but an intervening section was not, nor was west of Altoona.
A delight towards the western end is the Horseshoe Curve.
Enjoy.

Yes I've done the Atlantic City / Pitts run, 8 hours 3 mins., not in one go I must add.I was surprised at how easy it was to Derail even in some cases when well under line speed, but that could be me.!!

You can of course disable derailing.
Sobering to think that that route is only the Eastern part of the PRR.
