Bernina
Today (as I'm trying to get some of my old collection back) I thought I'd see if the Bernina would run on OR, I don't know how but I've erred again.Any Ideas on what I need to do now to set it right.
As you can see everything works fine,Barriers go up and down at the Crossings, loads of Traffic around !....But they're all driving on Grass, there are No Roads apart from where they actually cross the
track. Apart from that the Trains run great,so I will run the two full distance runs, but then delete it which I really do not want to do if its possible to get it sorted..

Re: Bernina
Have you run the route, through Route Riter buddy.
To check if anything is missing, ie the road shapes.
Mike.

Re: Bernina
Hi Roger,
You are probably already aware, but the Bernina Bahn route must not be installed with any other MSTS routes due to its use of a specific tsection.dat file.
In MSTS language, this is known as a 'mini-route' and the move to Open Rails hasn't changed that requirement.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Bernina
Hi,
@ Mark : With respect, the readme includes instructions that New Roads v4 and XTracks v3.2 should be installed.
@ Roger : If you're running Open Rails, Carlo has created updates for the route, stock and activities - https://rhb-trainsim.com/BerninaBahn.html
Cheers,
Ged

Oops
Thanks all , I have checked and yes I do have x Tracks & New Roads v4 installed, I'm wondering if I have installed the Files them in the wrong order. Sadly I.K.Brunel I haven't got Route Riter ( or at least I don't think I have), so cannot do that. Anyway it does now run, but is a bit odd, one of the Electric Trains appears to be powered by Diesel, exhaust plumes and all, but I can live with that

Re: Bernina
Hi Roger,
There's no 'wrong order' in which to install XTracks and New Roads! Are you sure you've installed New Roads into the Bernina installation and not your default installation?
The route and its stock have been around for a very long time so I'm sure if an electric loco had exhaust plumes, it would have been reported long ago! It's just possible that somebody made an error with the Open Rails modifications, if you're using them. Otherwise, please tell us which unit is showing exhaust.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Bernina
Hi Roger,
That cabview doesn't look like anything I've got in my Bernina Bahn route, and the track doesn't look quite right.
Just a thought - IS it the Bernina Bahn route (by Carlo Santucci and others) or is it the commercial Bernina Express route from SimTrain??
Cheers,
Ged

Fool that I am...
Hello Ged, you got me wondering, Yes New Roads is in BB Installation, but since I reinstalled BB using your link Things have altered.
My first ERROR was in making a rather Stupid assumption, The Train in Question is Bio Powered during a Power Outage it goes Diesel.
I'm so sorry to have wasted your time on this, I will have to start Read, Read and Read again as a new Mantra..
Now it's time to hit the 2nd hand shops to try and find some more Routes, all British except for the Albula"

Re: Bernina
Hi Roger,
Ah!! The track DOES look like that of the Bernina Bahn route in your new screenshots!
I must have missed seeing that loco - should have a re-check! What's its folder name, please?
Cheers,
Ged

Hmm
Hmm, they look the same to me Ged. Unless you're talking about the earlier photo's where I was saying I had no Roads ?
This ones an interesting trip, you change back to Electric power at Bernina Diavolezza and you hear all the Electric Motors cut in , yet you still have the Exhaust streams. Still interesting and enjoyable.
