Splash Screen and Startup Screen

Hi all,
Does anyone know how to change or even add a startup and Splash screen for a new route please?

Hi Andy

That is the "load.ace" file located in the particular routes main folder, you can create your own screen graphics, (1024x1024 resolution if I remember correctly) convert it to .ace, and name it load.ace and pop it in your route folder.

Thanks Mark. Much appreciated mate. Also there appears to be a details.ace.. Does anything need doing with this one? Also, does anyone know how you go about changing the screen once it has loaded up?

Details.ace is the screen you get when you press the "Map" button which appears once you have selected the route you want to run, it usually contains the route map and a text box that displays the route description from the .TRK file, you can create your own details.ace too, better to use an existing one as a template as the text box has to be placed in the correct position.

As far as I know there is no way to change to an alternative load screen once it has loaded.

Thanks for the help and tips. I will get on to the Startup/loading screen tomorrow. There is obviously a way to change the menu/background screen part.  So I will do a search on this tomorrow.
There are a couple of files on UKTS that look as if it can be done or give you some guidelines....

They are the start-up screens on the main MSTS screen before you have selected a route, MSTS cycles through those showing a different one each time you start the program.

Hopefully HFL Part 22 which refers to loading screens, etc., and located HERE might be of help!
