Uncoupling
Hi All,
I am using X3186; the Open Rails Manual states that uncoupling can be achieved by either clicking on the coupling in the Train Operations (F9) window, or pressing the U key and clicking on the actual coupling with the mouse. The latter option works without any problem, but I can't get the F9 option to work, either single- or double-clicking on the coupling. I've not seen any other reports that this doesn't work, so maybe I'm doing something wrong??! To me, the use of the F9 display is more convenient in many circumstances, BUT another problem with it is that the display doesn't seem to be scrollable horizontally, a la MSTS.
Can anybody put me right, please?
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Uncoupling
Hi Ged,
A single click on the coupling has always worked for me including the latest X3186. You should be able to scroll horizontally a la MSTS.
Sorry I can't be of more help,
Stephen

Re: Uncoupling
Hi Stephen,
Thanks, mate
I was hoping nobody would say that, because it means I may have a problem with my system!!
I've tried changing my wireless mouse to a wired one, but it's no different
.....Oh...wait... I had a thought! A few days ago I was adjusting some settings as a result, I think, of some query being posted. The end result was that I am running Open Rails in Windowed mode with the window set to my full screen size (1920 x 1080) - I can't remember what I was trying to prove or test!! Deselecting Windowed mode, had everything working OK; changing to a smaller window and using Windowed mode also has the scrolling and uncoupling working correctly on the F9 screen, once again.
Thank you for setting me thinking.
