Re: Southern Magic
Thanks for sharing Ben. If you have any of a Merchant Navy going some or a Rebuilt West Country, I'd really like to see.
Cheers

Re: Southern Magic
Ben,
You are an absolute diamond sharing those video clips of Bulleid's in all their glory!! Especially with my baby 35005 'Canadian Pacific'. I have to say the Merchant's compared to the W/C Pacifics sound a lot throat'ier..
Cheers
Andy
P.S - Please keep them coming as I will probably have missed a lot going by what you have posted for my enjoyment!!! (Bulleid Pacific Man thru 'n' thru!)

Re: Southern Magic
Ben,
Good going with 825 with 8 Bogies that I counted on! Shame about the smoke! The fireman should have cracked the Blower open a tad more!
As for 34067 - A good video sequence for getting away and at a stand...
Cheers

Re: Southern Magic
Andy,
825 was climbing a 1 in 49 grade with a train of 8 bogies that has a weight of 9. The loco would be on full first or second regulator. The smoke is just the coal catching as the fireman shovels it into the firebox.
