DEMEX Empty DEMEX

Post  slipperman12 Sun 18 May 2014, 10:37 pm

Hi All,
Although DEMEX is still available, courtesy of Eolesen of the Trainsim.com MSTS Forum (http://www.mediafire.com/?wsjacjkh2ac9m), the installer won't run under a 64-bit Operating System. This problem is easy to overcome if the user has access to a 32-bit version of Windows.

I have now received permission from the author, John Stanford, to upload the files which make up the demo version of it, thus avoiding the need to source a 32-bit OS. Note that this is exactly the same version as would be obtained if the installer was able to be run. To use the full version of DEMEX, it is still necessary to purchase a key from SWREG (http://www.swreg.org/com/storefront/30411).

I will be uploading this version of DEMEX (v1.51) to the libraries at uktrainsim.com and trainsim.com in the next week or so.

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Ged,
Very useful for any budding route builders who were'nt around when 1.51 was freely available.

This link will give you the hgt files necessary to demex a route.  Mouse over, click the square you need, and download.

Hi All,
It has been possible to purchase keys for DEMEX and MOSAIC from SWREG, but that site seems to have been off-line for some time, which has made it difficult for those who wish to fully use the software.
.
John Stanford has very kindly given me permission to share my keys Smile

I've just got to sort them out, make sure they work and then decide exactly how to make them available!  It'll probably be by a (very small) normal upload to the libraries, but I'm open to suggestions.

Cheers,
Ged

Hi All,
The keys may now be downloaded from the TSSH library.  They will also be available from the libraries at trainsim.com, uktrainsim.com and elvastower.com when approved.

The demo version of DEMEX has been available from UKTS and trainsim.com for a few years and the demo version of MOSAIC is available from trainsim.com.  The keys supplied convert these into their full versions.

Also supplied in this download are two beta versions of DEMEX, which may only be used after the key has been applied.

Full details are in the readme.

Cheers,
Ged
