I would like to suggest a hew section. - Train Operating.

I am ready to post details in the running of milk trains as most of the milk trains I have seen in activities are incorrect.

I am planning to add topics on the use of brake vans and marshaling of dangerous goods.

The section could also have a topic on passenger train formation.

A separate section similar to that for routes would ensure the information was easily available rather than being lost as it drops down the lists.

Hi Ian,
I think that would be a good idea as most people don't really understand train formations, and also the right head codes to go with them.

Hi Ian.

I'll check with Justin later, if he's OK with it I'll add a new section for train operating, if you want an info page that is always on top I'll sticky it for you.

Sounds interesting; it would be great if we could have some guidance as to the correct formations of things such as the former Virgin XC services prior to the introduction of Voyagers etc between Reading & Bournemouth for example.

Hi guys,

Ian, that is a great idea that you have and well timed too.
I have set up a new section for real railway discussions with a sub section for train operations. Very Happy

Once the first post goes up I'd like to establish it like the HFL directory with a seperate suggestion topic so as not to lose the valuable information that will be posted.

Justin
