Pardon me, everyone.

I know that this is my first time on these forums, and I must apologize if I am speaking out of line, but there is one concern that I have, as of tonight: If and when UKTrainSim is closed down, I am not sure where the Highworth Branch add-on and/or the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway add-on (both of them being for Microsoft Train Simulator), among some others, will be re-located to.

Hi there and welcome to TSSH.
It is highly unlikely that, once UKTS closes its doors, the referenced material will be available.
As has been said in other threads "copyright" is the key factorE

Edited to remove the double negative!

Alec, you have a double negative in the first paragraph which somewhat conflicts with the second paragraph. Can you clarify?

Sorry to tell you this, Mr. dforrest (or Mr. David), but that statement about what happens when UKTrainSim closes its doors, confirms what I am currently dreading. If this should be the case, then no one is going to make newer versions of the Highworth Branch Line or the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway for these forums' downloads page... let alone for Open Rails...

I'm please to let you know Mr. andoodleuk, that V3 of the New Forest Route, which is currently under production, includes a section of the the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway. It is available on GitHub. All is not lost!

It's true that work on the Highworth Branch and SD&JR can't be carried out and uploaded to TSSH or any other platform without permission from the copyright owners. However there is no reason why these routes can't be downloaded from UKTS before August 2023, and then amended, revised or extended by individuals for their own personal use.

Good news but this is the first time I have come across GitHub. Can yo7u tell us how to access the material please? A Google search found the program but not any information about downloading. The version of the New Forest route i have is very nice.

Jonathan, if you open https://github.com/rickloader/NewForestRouteV3 and click on the "Code" button, you will be able to download it. You will see two options. You can either download the zip file or, by clicking on "Clone", you will be able to open the repository and later see any updates available.
