Hi Ken,
It might help if you could identify a particular location and a screenshot would be useful.
Cheers,
Ged

Hi Ken,
I'm not able to identify the station in your screenshot - which is it, please?
I've had a look at Carlisle and, although it has some 3-way points, which appear OK, there's nothing like those you've shown.
Does the Open Rails log show any missing track shape files?
Cheers,
Ged

HI Ged thanks for your wise advice somehow my installation of the route was sub standard I therefore deleted the route in its entirety; re downloaded all parts from UKTS plus Patch 7 then following Terrys installation instructions to letter hey presto the defective track sections seem now to have righted themselves. Cheers Ken

Re: NWEv3
Two questions please/ I have just installed this V3 NWE and its a great Sim, But I have a problem in one of the activities, I cannot find the front Loco.
O.R. gives me the message ..... "missing; Class 82144 IC Swallow DVTS" This does appear to be in the Trainsets folder though , so could anyone tell me how to make it appear ? Thanks Roger.

Re: NWEv3
Hi Roger,
As you've posted this in an MSTS Forum, I assume that is the sim you're running. I have started that activity without any problem.
Just in case you're running Open Rails, the activity also starts correctly in that sim!
As I have no problems, I don't really know what to suggest, except to run MSTS_ActMan for the activity and MSTS_Check for the route and see if any errors are reported for the DVT..
Cheers,
Ged

Re: NWEv3
Hi Roger,
Apologies, you did post "O.R. gives me the message ..... "missing; Class 82144 IC Swallow DVTS""
However, I get no such error and can run the activity properly, with the DVT leading. This is why I suggested you run the two utilities! There is no such vehicle as NWE_Class82144_ICSwallow_DVTS and it's not in the supplied consist - have you modified any files?
Cheers,
Ged

Re: NWEv3
No I never alter anything. Still sorry to have wasted so much of your time, I will just delete the Act .Thank you Ged, that's another Pint I owe you Roger.

Re: NWEv3
Hi Roger,
Why delete the activity?
Two things :
1. Open the folder NWE_Class82144_ICSwallow_DVT and check the name of the .eng file - it should be Class82144_ICSwallow_DVT.eng
2. Open the consist file : ic dvt+9icmk3+86401.con in a text editor (NotePad is OK).
The first vehicle line should be : EngineData ( Class82144_ICSwallow_DVT NWE_Class82144_ICSwallow_DVT ) . If it isn't, modify it accordingly and save the file.
You'll note that there should not be 'DVTS' anywhere!
Cheers,
Ged

I cannot find a folder NWE_Class82144_ICSwallow_DVT, but ic dvt+9icmk3+86401.con is in my consist folder..But I must admit I dont know what I'm doing and am worried about getting rid of anything by mistake.

Re: NWEv3
Hi Roger,
I believe the only way to get NWE v3.0 is to download the files from UKTS.
There are 14 separate .zip files plus 7 patch files.
82144 is in file 9 of 14 (UKTS_34357).
I wonder if, when you unpacked the files, you missed number 9?? If so, you'll be short of a number of stock items!
Cheers,
Ged

Thank you Ged, I just added the Trainsets from file 9.and up it popped,, (I dont know how I missed out a full file ) and runs nicely. Now I'm going to try downloading the Mini Route Mid East Plus (on disc from UKTS). Fingers well and truly crossed. But first Euston here I come.

Re: NWEv3
Hi Roger,
Pleased you've got NWE3 sorted
As for MEP, just follow the instructions and you should be OK. HOWEVER, if you're only using Open Rails, you don't really need the Mini-Loader, although it can be used. More importantly, it needs MSTS to be fully installed because some default files are copied into the MEP route.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: NWEv3
Ged I'm back, just where do I find the 7 Patches for NWE, they don't appear to be on UKTS (Official or) unofficial.I've found 3, but they're not for version 3 ?
Roger
Re: NWEv3
Hi Roger,
My apologies
All the patches were cumulative, so only one is available/needed : UKTS 38724 (Patch #7)
Cheers,
Ged

Re: NWEv3
Hi Roger,
Thanks mate but I can't claim APKExtractor as mine!
Its author abandoned it (I've not been able to contact him) and when I found it, it didn't work, probably the reason it was abandoned. I was able to solve the problem and released the program. Subsequent improvements and enhancements were applied and resulted in the version currently available.
Cheers,
Ged
