You will still never beat the repainting of City of Truro into BR lined black back in the early 1980s.
She was at Bridgenorth for major overhaul and return to Steam.
Just prior to going into works, the right hand side was painted BR Lined black.a numberplate applied to the smokebox and sutible photographs taken, This was the previous October. The said photograph appearing on the front cover of I think it was either Steam
World or Steam Railway.
OH BOY, Didn't it wind a lot of people  up! there were plenty of letters to the editor calls for people to resign.
