Random T4 Illawarra Line Footage
Hi Everyone,
I decided to start putting together some of my random spotting videos that I have taken over the years.
First up is a collection of videos featuring the 82 Class Diesels.
These big brutes are a favorite of mine as they are used on many different workings.
Introduced back in 1994-1995 they have become the mainstay of the work-fleet of the Illawarra line which I live on.
Please be aware that as the footage as recorded over many years, the video size and quality does change.
Enjoy,
Justin

Hi Justin,
Thanks for the video
They're certainly 'chunky' locos which seem to have a distinctive sound! It's good to see there are some MSTS models, albeit getting a bit long in the tooth now!
I've posted about these here - https://tsforum.forumotion.net/t1444-nsw-class-82-diesels#18854.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Random T4 Illawarra Line Footage
Thanks for the feed back guys!
And whilst they do sound like the 66s, they are less well kept and can be quite growly when under load.
Having said that, hearing a set of 4 of these getting a heavy coal train underway at full power is something to behold!
It is now frowned up, but I can remember back in the late 1990s when they would "go for it" getting the loads going at Hurstville.
As Hurstville has a shopping centre on top of it, the station is quite open and echoy.
So 4 of the 82s going for it would have the air vibrating and pulsing, it was quite spectacular!
