Norton and accessing UKTS?
For some unknown reason my Norton AV has started to report UKTS as being unsafe this evening, and I have had to tell it to accept this site! Has anyone else had this problem, or is my Norton AV causing the hiccup?

Fine for me. My Norton has no issues with it.

Re: Norton and accessing UKTS?
Mmm . . . . thanks for the heads up Niall. I have told my Norton to accept UKTS as trusted, which it does but still shows the warning on the Norton toolbar "This page is UNSAFE". Of course I know that it's safe and have reported it as a false positive to Norton. It may of course be some sort of hiccup within my computer, and that of course is somewhat disconcerting!

Hi Alec,
Me too, got the same problem. I still used UKTrainSim forums anyway,
I had to trust the UKTS site by pressing "Continue the website anyway"!

Re: Norton and accessing UKTS?
This is the message I got this morning:-
The detailed report is as below:-
The only recorded comment is 6 years old and is obviously positive.
I asked Norton to look at this as if it was a false positive and they can't see any problem.
Perhaps there's something caused by the latest Norton updates?
It's a mystery?

Alec,
I would do a Full System Scan on your PC and an Anti-Malware scan just incase something is lurking on your PC.

Yesterday Norton was not reporting the security problem. Today it is.

Re: Norton and accessing UKTS?
Someone has also reported this on UKTS! I did do scan and anti-malware checks and no problems were reported. Could a post just before Norton threw a wobbly be the reason? In fact I had posted myself a few minutes before!

Hi Folks
We have a word from Peter Peddlesden from UKTS:
The owner has been notified and UKTS site is currently being investigated.

Hi folks
The "THIS PAGE IS UNSAFE" gremlin has re-appeared again. It's again to do with the Great Scenario Challenge for TS2015!
Meantime, you might be able to use UKTS, but may be necessary to click "Continue to visit website anyway".

Re: Norton and accessing UKTS?
Hello David.
Sounds like a "False Positive" to me.
I have just clicked on your link , http://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-newest.php?cuthere=b0343005195980c63b647bbf6d279586
It took me directly to the Newest files section.
In the MSTS Forum, There is even a" threat" of the South east Steam era CD being ready by December, Not to mention a new couple of very nice screenshots that Danny has posted!
Cheers
Andy

Re: Norton and accessing UKTS?
Is there any way you can report it as a false positive?
I have avast premier which gives the site a green light, it is normally very good at detecting malicious websites.
