Hi Art,
The first thing which comes to mind : Which tsection.dat file are you using? The Burton Derby route uses #38, so if you're using a different one, it MAY explain the problem you're having.

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Art,
Having just run an activity with a similar name on BD2, I'm puzzled!?

There is no activity with the name you specified - the nearest is bcd2_3mt_goods_to_ripley. It doesn't contain any message about waiting for the 9F - in fact, the only 9F I saw was as I was leaving St. Mary's Goods Yard, and it continued straight through - I did have to wait until the line cleared (did shuffle, but may not have been necessary!). If, by waiting, you mean just before crossing the main lines to get to Little Eaton, then, yes, you do have to wait; although there is a freight also waiting (it's not a 9F but an Austerity), you are actually awaiting a DMU which comes off the Long Eaton single line section. Hope this helps, if not, come back! I appreciate that you may be running an earlier version of Burton Derby, in which case, most of my comments won't be relevant !!

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Art,
Sorry Embarassed  I've just found the Activities notes! You're right in that it's the first one on that list, with the name you mentioned (but it doesn't include "Act 1"); it's not the name that's shown in the Activity Selection Screen!

The notes confirmed that the 9F is the one I referred to, which doesn't stop - it's running past as the Player is leaving the sidings. If your 9F is stopped, it's still possible that you're running a different tsection.dat file; it's in the GLOBAL folder and you can open it using NotePad - its version number is near the top of the list.

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Art,
That means it is Tsection.dat 42. Which will obviously mean you need Tsection.dat 38. Here is the link to the download; http://members.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=27747

Hi Andy.

Being as all my Routes and Acts are running well is it worth spoiling it for just one Act??

Probably not, mate, but if most of your routes are UK or European, it may be better to use the #42UK build. This contains all the enhancements included in #42, except that the signal clearances have been reset to those of #38. It's available at UKTS as file ID 13758.

Cheers,
Ged

Hmmm... You've got me confused with the mention of #38 - I thought you'd got #42 (as confirmed in your earlier post)!

I'm assuming you do have #42 for the following :-
The simplest way is to rename your existing tsection.dat file as tsection42.dat and leave it where it is.
Then unpack download 13758 into a temporary folder and copy the tsection.dat file from there into your GLOBAL folder.

If you ever want to switch back to your original tsection.dat, rename the new one as tsection42UK.dat and rename tsection42.dat as tsection.dat.
If you use Train Store, each route can be allocated its own individual tsection.dat.

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Roger,
Burton - Derby v2 was, as far as I know, developed with tsection.dat #38.  Mine works without problem with it - and has done since I first used it several years ago!

I suggested that Art's problem was linked to his use of tsection.dat #42, which is known to cause problems with some UK / European routes.  It's the reason #42UK was issued.

There is probably another reason why your route won't load - can you give us more information, please?

Cheers,
Ged

Hello Ged,upon closer inspection I've found that none of my Mini Routes will install,so it must be a fault on my PC,my other Routes on UKTS Cd's are still able to be installed and run well.I have always had problems with the Mini Routes jerking, but they had always downloaded Ok.Just another nail in the coffin for my old XP I'm afraid. Thanks for the interrest though its much appreciated, but  SHOULD I start using tsection#42UK anyway.Kindest Regards,

Roger

When faced with potential TSection problems don't forget to check Mark's post on the subject in the HFL thread here.
