Midland to Carlisle
Well ! after reading the Route Directory I decided to have a go and downloaded the above Route, the first surprise being that it actually showed up in Train store was even surpassed by the enjoyment of driving it.I must admit to being amazed by the difference between this and the Default version, even the Level Crossing gates work correctly,Stations have passengers waiting, almost the complete line is walled, and the Midland loco's are a dream to drive.
So many thanks to the makers of this Route and to the Activity creators,if you haven't already used this route all I can say is you should.
Highest regards to all concerned.

Hi Roger.
Yes it is a big improvement on the default version, The LMS to Carlisle route is an updated version of the midland one and even better in my opinion, the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle route is very similar but extends all the way to Leeds and Bradford.
Pat Daltons huge LMR/LMS stockpack is perfect for all these variations of the S&C.

Hello Mark, just had a look at "LMS to Carlisle",but with my record I'm always dubious of how to download this type of file,it says about downloading "2 Cylinder Sound & Bogie Sound" files and goes on to give you a warning about doing so.
Now whereas I know this is meant to be quite simple, for me it never is,I remember trying to download a "158" sounds to my Cambrian 2 which led to a complete uninstall of MSTS.
Would the route work without these Sound Sets ?,are they already there anyway in the Midland to Carlisle ?
Having said all that though "Thanks" for the tips.
Regards Roger.

Hi Roger,
I think you will find both these self install into your msts common sounds folder in side the trainset folder,so they shouldn't give you any problems
