Guess the route game
In this game someone posts a screenshot from an MSTS route and whoever guesses it right posts the next screenshot.
Any MSTS route, payware or (released) freeware route from any country is allowable.
The only rule is that any train in the screenshot should be appropriate for the route IE: a German train for a German route, a GWR train for a GWR route etc.
I'll start it off with an easy one .......

guess the route
Hi
I'm 99% sure that is Blackpool, or that First class 180 has migrated to Paris.
Looking at the tower, I would say it's from Terry's new North West England Route

I also cannot figure out how to get a photo from MSTS,could someone point us in the right direction,PLEASE !
Well I'm halfway to nowhere
Hello Mark & Alec, very speedy replies indeed.Following instructions from you I have indeed got a picture from MSTS,just a basic photo though to see if I could do it.thanks very much.
Of course though having the computer savvy associated with Neanderthal Man I now only need to find out how to get it onto this site.
Do I click on "Host an image" or "Image"- and according to my morning batch of Emails I appear to have joined "serving.com" ,answers on a postcard please (as the saying goes)or am I .
Like the site too.best regards Roger

Re: Guess the route game
Hi Roger,
You need to use both. This forum has its own image hosting with servimg.com (you use the same login details as for here, it was automatically done when I set the forum up).
You upload the picture and then copy and paste the bottom link for the image that you are given into the image function.
I'm glad that you have found your way here and that you like the forum.

Quite Correct
You're correct the Screenshot wasn't meant to be part of the game, with a lot of help from members I wanted to find out how to actually get a screenshot, and how to get it onto the site,I did think after I had sent it that it may sort of mess up the flow of the game, SORRY for that, but I would'nt know how to cancel it (once sent).
Of course I should have sent a message stating that.

Re: Guess the route game
Roger.
Is that screenshot from the bigger of the two routes on the Japanese routes CD?
I use photobucket to host my pictures, then just C&P the IMG code into my post.

Re: Guess the route game
Yes Mark it certainly is,but the routes seem to have a fault (or my PC does) ,as I keep getting an "Activity Failed "notice.
I have heard about Photobucket,,but my skill levels are pretty low on a PC and I'm pretty sure I'd manage to C**k everything up
I thought you couldn't have MSTS twice on the same PC !.

Re: Guess the route game
I had a problem using the current tsection.dat with the Japanese route CD, so I made a separate MSTS installation called "MSTS Japan" and installed the Japanese routes CD and the default JP routes into it, using the tsection that came on the CD, no problems with it now.
Mark
Re: Guess the route game
You can have as many installations as you like, but they all have to be named differently, but you can only use things like trainstore on one of them, you can also set them up as miniroutes.
Photobucket is a doddle to use.
