I have today put the above route onto my PC,and (hopefully) followed all the instructions, but it does not show up in the list when I run MSTS,any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I must admit that I think it could be because there are no activities present, but with my past record of trying to add acts and trains etc,if this is so I would prefer to remove it before I have to completely remove MSTS once again.

Hi,
Just a thought; have you installed it into the correct directory? i.e, location of your MSTS Installation folder and have you checked to make sure it is in the Routes Directory?
Thanks
Andy

Roger
If you are running MSTS from Train Store then you need at least one activity it get it going.

B2B Empty B 2 B maybe 1 2 many 4 my PC

Hi Alec, Yes I was trying to run it from Train Store,so that must most likely be the problem,I had hoped for it to already contain an "explore route" set up,sadly I have long since stopped trying to download any activities that require stock to be added as I always end up having to uninstall MSTS to sort things out.
Hello Andy,I've checked MSTS and the Route is present in its proper place, sadly though I cannot open the Sim to use it anymore except through Train Store either because I just have too much for it to load ( I've got Dorset Coast,Thames - Mersey and Vern's 5 Route Cd installed and running at present),or my PC's just not up to it.

Roger
Dorset Coast and Thames Mersey are large routes and can't really be run without using Train Store.
The alternative is to set up each route as a Mini Route using the procedure in Route Riter, and the description for this task is detailed here.
It is relatively straightforward, well it must be because I can do it!
Once this is done you can store the route folder away from your main MSTS, and thus reduce the amount of "stuff" that needs to be dealt with.

B2B Empty Neanderthal World

Post  neanderthal Mon 13 May 2013, 4:52 pm

Hello again Alec, I know I can count on you and really value your replies when I get into trouble, but I am the worlds worst when it comes down to PCs,and having looked through the link you sent have decided that I'm not ever going to be able to do anything like that and its best that I go back to just buying the ready made Sims. Many Thanks.
