What are the effects of Track Data Base variations?

When unpacking activities to a route it is not uncommon to get the message asking whether you wish to continue, because the route has version xxxx but the activity has version yyyy.

What are the possible consequences when I/we say YES to continue?

Could this be responsible for the activity error message that refers to invalid platforms?

Hi Alec

If you install an act into a different version of the route than the act was written for, you are likely get loads of errors, most often it is broken path errors, but can also be other errors that changes to the route between versions have caused.

Yes it is probably the cause of the invalid platform errors, it means the platform markers were changed from one version to the next and the act does not recognize them..

Going into AE and re-ticking the platforms you should stop at and saving the act should fix it.
