Re: Should have used Ged's "No trees"
Kind of reminds me of the early years of the Talyllyn Railway preservation era.
Over the last few years I have been digging a fair bit in to the Talyllyn, both pre and post preservation.
The last few years under Sir Hayden Jones the line was basically held together by the grass and weeds, with everything being very overgrown.
Not being negative, just stating a fact, as the railway had a very, very small operating budget and had to "mend and make do" with what they had.
I now have a nuber of books on the railway with many wonderful pictures showing how the line has grown, form its early years in the 1860s, through to its rebirth in the 1950s, and on to the wonderous line that it has become today.
Reagrds,
Justin
