Bodensee ~ Toggenburg Route
Hi all, I couldn't make up my mind whether to put this into MSTS or OR.
Obviously the Route is meant for the former, but I no longer have MSTS, so in OR it has to go.
I must say I have found it to run well but am stuck with a Patch for it,the question therefore is, "How and where do I put the patch ?"
Thank you ... Neanderthal

Re: Bodensee ~ Toggenburg Route
Hi Roger,
I have two patches for this route, BTPATCH.rar (contents dated 03-01-2008) and BT_Neupatch.rar (contents dated 09-01-2008 and 10-01-2008)
You appear to have a btpatch.gif file, which is only an image file!
I've just downloaded BT_Neupatch.rar from thetrain.de and it's identical to the one I downloaded more than 2 years ago!
If you unpack this .rar file (using 7Zip) into a temporary folder, you'll have ROUTES and TRAINS folders together with a .txt file.
The .txt file translates as follows :
Just copy the ROUTES and TRAINS folders into the root folder of the installation containing your BT route, allowing all overwrites.
I have compared the contents of BT_Neupatch with those of the earlier patch and, except for one loco, it contains the same, or later, versions of the files, so you don't need the earlier patch.
The one loco NOT included in the new patch is SBB_EWI_ABt so if you have any problems with it, please shout!! However, it's probably not included for a good reason!
Cheers,
Ged

As you only run Open Rails you can ignore the reference to the BIN patch. These files slightly update your BT route by adding Peterbird's starting points, correcting some shapes and adjusting terrain at route ends.
Above all, your fleet will be updated in that all wagons now have red tail lights, big thanks to Wilhelm Hacker and Bernd Eichstädt.
Attention: These rolling stock adjustments were developed for the BIN patch and may only work with it!!!
There are definitely still opportunities for improvement: please let us know! Best in the TT forum...

Unless I am mistaken (probably!) this route has been subsumed into the Sud Ost Bahn route which covers a much wider area of Switzerland.
