South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
I'm enjoying running the Dover Goods act on the excellent SE Steam route but I seem to be missing the lower parts of 2 signals at Ashford station. The upper parts are just hanging in the air. This is presumably what's causing the AI train 'Paddock Wood-Dover 01' to be held at a red with 02 and 03 backed up behind. The compass bearings for the 2 signals are lat:51.1431 lon:0.87878 and for the 2nd signal: 51.1457 0.8714. The 2nd one is where the 1st AI is held at. Anyone else had this problem? I ran the activity a couple of years ago and don't remember this problem but recently re'downloaded the route and wonder if the signal files have got corrupted.

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
The fact that the signals arms are 'hanging in the air' has nothing to do with the AI train being stopped. They are only graphical representations of the signals with the 'real' work being done by the sigcfg.dat and sigscr.dat files; there is no connection between those files and how the signals are displayed. If the Track Monitor shows the signals at danger, that is why the train has stopped.
Please remember that the route was created for MSTS and, quite often, AI trains behave differently when an activity is run with Open Rails.
I have not run that activity so cannot confirm, or refute, your observations.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
I was going to pm you on this rather than start a thread on here but then I thought you had enough on your plate with the other stuff I've highlighted to you recently! Yes I assumed the missing lower signal posts wouldn't affect the AI running but i wanted to make sure. I did copy the 2 signal files into an OpenRails folder in the route but to no avail. At least I can run the act after we'd ascertained the 'Simple' option was the cause of the previous errors and crashes!
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
No problem, mate
Do the 51.1457 0.8714 signals look like this :
if so, you are probably missing the Ashford5.s file.
If the 51.1431 0.87878 signals are similarly displayed, you are probably short of Ashford3.s
If these are not what you see, please post a screenshot (or two!)
These might not be the signals you're seeing because I used MSTS RE to locate them and the Lat and Lon co-ordinates shown by OR don't match those of MSTS!!
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
It seems that I did find the right signals!
It appears that, for some reason, Ashford3.s and Ashford5.s are not being shown by Open Rails and TSRE5! Can you display them in ShapeViewer? Does the OR log indicate any problem/s regarding these files?
Whereas most of the other signals are displayed separately, the two you showed are mounted on a gantry - I think there is only one other like them.
The .sd files associated with those two shape files appear to be quite complex - maybe OR/TSRE5 has a problem displaying them?
I'll run the Dover Goods activity to ascertain if it's a general problem, or just limited to your installation. How far into the activity do you come across these signals?
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Yes both display fully in Shape Viewer with the gantries. You'd need to go quite a way along in the act to get to Ashford. An easier way I found was to open the map window at the beginning and trace along until you find the first AI, then watch and see if it gets stuck at Ashford, although I believe it probably stops there for passengers. the 2nd AI behind it is a goods so shouldn't stop.
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
Well, it's taken a while, but I've successfully completed the Dover Goods activity - it's certainly not easy!!
Anyway, I didn't see any 'stuck' AI trains - in fact, I didn't see many at all!
Also, I didn't see any 'floating' signals at Ashford. Your screenshots were, obviously, from TSRE5 - do you also see the signals like that in Open Rails?
The co-ordinates given don't seem to match those shown by OR - I wonder if TSRE5 shows the same as MSTS but different to those used by OR?
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Yes it's quite an interesting and challenging activity!
I'm using TSRE5 v0.8004 and when I use the lat:51.1455 and lon:8719 (which I get from the compass when in OR) it then brings me to within 100yds or so of the location in TSRE5 which has some of the missing signal parts. I've always found the location obtained from OR has got me very near to the right place when fed into TSRE on any route.
The signals lower posts are missing both in OR and in TSRE, but the .s files you mentioned in an earlier post ARE present in the Shapes folder.
Originally when I had problems with the AI trains getting stuck I was using the route as downloaded. I have since copied the sigcfg and sigscr files into an OpenRails folder in the route but to no avail. However i seem to remember reading on a forum about the 'SignalNumClearAhead' figures being needing to be altered to a minimum of 4. At present the route's sigcfg file has various values from 1 to 6.
I think the fact you didn't see many AI trains might be because several consists are marked as 'IE' in consist builder. I think this is something that only shows up in MSTS? Rather like good old Sniper's 'invisocar' wagons.
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
Copying the sigcfg.dat files and sigscr.dat files into an OpenRails folder wouldn't make any difference! OR reads those files in preference to those in the route folder but as they are the same ....
You're right about the "SignalNumClearAhead" value. What you could do is change the values in the OpenRails sigcfg.dat file entries to be 4 or greater and then see if the AI train/s get held.
I don't know what 'IE' means but will check it out.
The co-ordinates you've just posted are different to those I had originally, so will re-check them.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
IE stands for Invisible Engine - often used in an activity as a static consist only visible for a specific time while the player train passes. This reduces the load on the computer especially with MSTS. A lot of my activities used this very successfully but with Open Rails this isn't necessary. I also use it as a Blocker to control how ai trains interact with each other and the player train. The best one is Blocker UKTS 20068.
Regards,
Stephen

Thanks for that Stephen! That explains why I was hearing a stationary steam loco at various locations but couldn't see anything.

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
I changed all the SignalNumClearAhead entries to 4 (most were 1/2/3) except for one which was 10 and nine which were 6 so left those as they were and deleted the OpenRails folder, leaving just the scrcfg in the main Route folder. Sadly the train 32MP DG Paddock wood Dover 01 still gets held at that same signal around 04.56am.
I should add that I ran Track Viewer when I first downloaded the route and allowed it to correct paths as needed.
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Stephen & Nick,
@Stephen :
Thanks, mate
@Nick :
I hadn't updated TSRE5 since the 'old days' but, using the same co-ordinates as in your screenshot, the signals displayed correctly on the gantry. This was using v0.7012.
Ran v0.8004 but this time, the gantry was missing! Obviously, it's a problem within TSRE5 v0.8 so I'm going to check earlier versions to see if I can find when the error was introduced.
There are some other errors in the signalling of the route. For example, at Dover there are the Home and Distant signals on one post but only the Distant is shown as 'OFF', which is wrong!
This may be due to at least one of the errors reported by my sigcfg_Checker,
Cheers,
Ged

If it helps at all here's the OR log from my last check. I've deleted all the 'virtual whe3el axle was added' lines apart from the 1st entry.

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
Yes, I got a similar report when running the Dover Goods activity but I haven't studied it in detail, yet.
Regarding TSRE5, my earliest version of Eric's 'fork' is 0.8001, dated 14 Feb 2024. With that, the gantry is also missing! It would seem that something has gone amiss between v0.7012 and Eric's version.
I'll get some screenshots together and report it on his thread on trainsim.com, but I can't offer any more because I can't think of a reason for the omission! The files are all present and are not reported as missing.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Ok mate and thanks as always.
Although even if the gantries are missing in some versions of TSRE, why are they also missing in OR? (for me at least).
Anyway at least I have the route more or less running correctly now - and with added chuff!!

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Well! My gast is flabbered...
I guess I could re-download the route and see if the gantries appear, but as it won't change the AI problem with signals I won't bother.
At present I'm busy adjusting the road surface heights on some of the ME Coast route's level crossings. I've just had TSRE lock up on me after 30mins work. First time that's happened but it'll teach me to save a bit more often I guess!
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
I've just checked the AI trains that passed me while I was running the activity and compared them with what I would expect to see, by checking the Service and Path files.
There are only four :
30796 with mail train - passed at 05:21:14
75065 with milk train - passed at 05:50:53 at Sandling
33028 with goods train - passed at 06:38:58 at Pluckley
34066 with passenger stock - passed at 06:51:22 at Marden
Most of the other services are marked IE, but why aren't they just set up as loose consists? The remainder have paths which don't go anywhere.
Can you tell me what services/consists you think are held at signals during your run, please?
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Yes I was puzzled by the IE consists. Maybe it made more sense when using MSTS?
The first train that gets held up by the red signal at Ashford is 32 MP DG Paddock Wood Dover 01. This is followed by 32 MP DG Paddock Wood Dover 02 which stacks up a little way behind it. As these are the first AIs it meant I didn't see any traffic until I'd got past Ashford.
I did once transfer into the loco in that consist using alt+F9 and tabbed through the red, this got me into the station platform and onwards after loading but didn't help with the train behind which was also held up.
That appears to be the only signal in the activity that was giving me problems, although there's another one in a different activity which also holds up AI trains.
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
Apologies - I should have included the service names in my last post!
MP DG Paddock Wood Dover 01 - 30796 with mail train - passed at 05:21:14
MP DG Paddock Wood Dover 02 - 75065 with milk train - passed at 05:50:53 at Sandling
MP DG Paddock Wood Dover 03 - 33028 with goods train - passed at 06:38:58 at Pluckley
MP DG Paddock Wood Dover 04 - 34066 with passenger stock - passed at 06:51:22 at Marden
I made a note of the time the AI train passed me and the approximate location (except for Dover 01, which I missed!)
I have no idea why yours should be different! I've not made any changes to the sigcfg/sigscr files.
There as only one patch for the route but the changes were only for the stock and some German characters in route texture names.
If it's of any help, these are the approximate times I was at the key locations -
Leave Dover - 05:15
Approach Shorncliffe 05:30 Leave Shorncliffe 05:45
Approach Ashford 06:04 Leave Ashford 06:30
Approach Paddock Wood 07:07 Leave Paddock Wood 08:06
Approach Tonbridge 08:13 Left the brakevan with the others 08:41
Don't have any more times!
Maybe you were running late/early?
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Thanks for the very impressive and comprehensive details of your running of the Dover Goods act!
I printed them out and then started to run the activity again. I got as far as leaving Dover at 05:10 before then using the map window to zoom up the line to Ashford, where I could see that the 01 train was already stationary at that signal. In fact when I investigated further I discovered that it first arrives at the signal at 04:56 and then remains there.
It occurs to me that it might perhaps be worth trying your copies of the sigcfg and sigscr files just in case mine somehow got corrupted during the download. Is it possible you could send them to me?
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
I replied to your PM on trainsim.com but that site appears to have 'gone down' - again!!
I can't remember exactly what you posted!
It seems odd that the Dover 01 AI train gets stopped at a signal on your activity but it passed me at 05:21.
It crossed my mind that you might be running an earlier version of the route, but I can't find any other in my archives.
A good check would be the route's .tdb file. Mine is dated 06/07/2015 with a size of 4786KB. The sigcfg.dat and sigscr.dat files have the same date and sizes of 430KB and 45KB respectively.
If one of your files was corrupted, I wouldn't expect it to work at all!
You are welcome to have copies of mine.
Cheers,
Ged

Hi Ged,
Yes it's annoying that the Trainsim.com site has gone down again, just as I was reading your message!
I've attached a screenshot of my tdb file which is a slightly different size to yours, presumably because I've added various items via TSRE. As you can see by the dates my latest download of the route is very recent.
Yes please I would appreciate copies of your two sig files - At this stage I'm willing to try anything!
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
AH!! thereby hangs the reason you're having troubles!
We already know that TSRE5 'can't see' the signal gantries and it appears to have passed that on to your version of South-East Steam. Who knows what other errors it has introduced?
That being so, we are using different versions of the route so, sorry, but I'm unable to help with any of your problems. Also, I don't think there's any point in you having my versions of the sigcfg.dat and sigscr.dat files because it's very likely that the reason the AI train/s stopped was due to some modifications made by TSRE5.
Cheers,
Ged

Hi Ged.
Well that's a bit of a bummer isn't it!
In that case I'll probably just reinstall the route and forgo any additions with TSRE.
I'll let you know how I get on. Anyway many thanks for all your help mate.

Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi,
@Roger :
Thanks, mate, but I wonder for how long? It's become a little 'flaky' as of late!
It's up at the moment, but very slow.
@Nick :
I have never seriously used TSRE5 Route Editor but I understand that you have to be careful to tell it NOT to make any changes to the TDB, otherwise it does by default.
It's one of the settings - I think WriteTDB has to be set to False, unless you're actually making changes to the tracks or interactives.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
That's it!! Thank you so much Ged. I reinstalled the route files, then ran the act and checked in the map window that the first AI was making it past that signal, which it did.
Then I altered the 'write tdb' line to 'false' in TSRE settings, placed a few wagons as loose consists and tried again, but this time the AI got stuck as before. So it looks like I can't use TSRE on that particular route - no real problem.
Although I guess I could of course download an earlier 07 version.
Then I re-reinstalled the route and the AI trains are running again.
So now I have the 'chuff' and AI trains thanks to you mate!
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
That's good news
I'm trying to sort out why some distant signals are shown in the 'OFF' position when the home signal on the same post is 'ON'.
MSTS shows the signals correctly but Open Rails (I've checked MG 156.1 and Stable 1.5.1) doesn't.
This example is near to the Dover loco shed :
I'm trying to fathom my way through the sigcfg and sigscr files but I would appreciate some help from someone with more experience, please!
Obviously, MSTS applies defaults when it reads something it doesn't understand whereas OR just reads the data!
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
I'm afraid my knowledge of signals is nil so I can't help you there sorry. Except to say that I've always noticed that any single distant signals on any route always seem to stay at the off position after my train has passed them.
I deleted TSRE 0.08 and installed v0.6958. Placed a couple of wagons on the track as a loose consist and checked the AI trains run past that Ashford signal, which they thankfully do. So there's definitely a glitch with v0.8 although I've never had problems on other routes when using it to place loose consists etc. Very strange but hopefully it'll be sorted eventually, along with the signal anomality you mentioned.
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
I believe that TSRE5 v0.7012 was the last from Goku - if you can't find it, I can send it to you.
You should try v0.7012 first, just in case the signals problem is in that version.
When you're using v8, if you've set 'WriteTDB' to false, when you add a loose consist, it shouldn't have any effect on the signalling, unless you put the consist on the AI train's path!
Has the date of the .tdb file been modified after you added the new consist? If so that need reporting because it shouldn't have been changed.
There are several inconsistencies in the sigcfg/sigscr files which I'm trying to eradicate.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Yes please if you could send me TSRE5 v0.7012, as neither of the two versions I found were that one.
I can't tell you if the tdb date changed on TSRE v08 after I added that loose consist because I didn't check at the time and I've deleted that version now.
I too was surprised that the AI trains wouldn't run correctly after I'd set the 'write tdb' to 'false' on v8 but I checked my work carefully.
Anyway all seems okay now although I'll check again once I receive the version from you and install it.

Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
If there appears to be a problem that is occurring in (I presume) TSRE Trainsim.Com Fork v0.8.005e (latest version) ie V8.005 that does not appear in the Goku's ultimate version, might I suggest posting this on Trainsim.com? Eric Oleson has taken Goku's version forward, and might have some ideas that would help. I've had a quick look at the posts on Trainsim.com (do a search for TSRE v8.002, TSRE v8.003 ... TSRE v8.005), and I've seen nothing to indicate a change that might have caused the symptoms Nick is experiencing. In fact Eric in his own words is treading very lightly on this and is restricting his changes to things that will not cause routes not to perform correctly - so if you believe that this is in fact the case I think Eric might find your experience helpful.

Hi Nick,
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-tXjg4E9N1l7E2hA6AZcgF2g5iysx_ju/view?usp=sharing
This is the fully installed version - just unpack the .zip file to wherever you want it and run TSRE5_v0.7.012.exe from there (I recommend "as administrator"!).
Cheers,

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Many thanks mate, it's up and running now.
You remember previously you mentioned changing 'write tdb' to false in TSWRE settings and I still had that AI error in v0.8 even though I'd done that? Well I've noticed the line 'writeEnabled' just above that in settings and wonder if I should have changed that too. Although in the version I've just received from you I've again only changed 'write tdb' to false and everything seems to be working fine regarding the AI trains.
I mention it because Tony makes a good point about mentioning it on the Trainsim.com site but I'm unsure if this was an issue just affecting my installation.
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
Just so that I understand correctly what you're saying, with TSRE5 v0.7012, the AI DOES NOT stop at the signal.
If that is so, before you can report it to Eric, I suggest that you try versions 0.8001, 0.8002, 0.8003 and 0.8004 to check if the problem has been introduced within v8.
Unfortunately, I only have 0.8001 and 0.8004, but I can send them to you if required.
I don't think setting WriteEnabled to 'False' would be of any help because then you'd probably not be able to place your new consist!
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Yes you are correct - v0.7012 that you kindly sent me works perfectly. The AI trains pass by the signal as they should and I can add loose consists etc without messing up the route, having changed 'write tdb' to false in settings but leaving 'writeEnabled' as true.
Oh and thanks for clarifying that 'writeEnabled' question. I had a feeling it might do that which is why I asked.
The problem is that I have already begun adding stuff to the route since installing TSRE 0.07012 and if I start testing other versions then that's just going to mess up the route all over again. (probably anyway). But I can tell you that v0.8004 was the one I had before and that one certainly caused the problems with AI trains at the Ashford signal after adding loose consists, even with 'writetdb' set to false.
Does that help? Reading this back I can see it looks a little selfish that I don't want to test the other versions - Its just that I've installed and reinstalled this route so many times over the past few days that I'm loath to do it again! :/
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
Well, that's up to you but if you do decide to report the problem to Eric, I'm certain he would want to know at which point it first occurred as it appears to be in one of his versions.
Can I, please, ask you to reconsider and test with 0.8001?
If you really don't want to do that, I could try myself. The problem is that I don't know my way around TSRE so if you could tell me the procedure for adding a consist it would be appreciated. I'd also need to know exactly where you placed the consist.
One of the purposes of these Forums is to help each other. We programmers, route builders, activity writers, etc., depend on others to report any issues with our creations but we often need help with locating the cause of the problem. The more information we get, the better! This is for the benefit of all users of our creations.
Cheers,
Ged

Hi Nick,
I hope you didn't feel I bullied you into testing this version!
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1I4pVDcd-dGJyT34APOQygs4DoQ-0dSUp/view?usp=sharing
Please unpack in the same way as the previous one I sent. I have run v8001 and it opens South-East (Steam) OK.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Ok here's what I did after installing TSRE 0.8001:
1) Overwrote the SE Steam's 'route' files with a clean copy from my original download from this site. (Left Trainset folder unaltered)
2) Ran the activity and checked AI consist 01 at Ashford via the map window - Train passes signal correctly.
3) Then added loose consist at Dover docks (5xmineral wagons) with 'write tdb' set to default of TRUE. I noticed 5 changes were shown when I saved the change, although I'd only made 1 change by adding the loose consist.
4) Ran the activity and checked the AI consist 01 at Ashford as before. STOPPED this time at the red signal.
5) Overwrote the route's files again as at 1) to get another clean copy and retried activity. AI consist goes past Ashford signal correctly.
6) Added same loose consist in same location having first changed 'write tdb' to FALSE. Again noticed 5 changes shown upon saving, although only 1 made.
7) Ran activity again - AI consist 01 STUCK at same Ashford red signal, even though write tdb setting is at false.
I hope all this helps.
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
Many thanks, mate
This looks as if something added into 0.8001 may be causing the problem. Does the TSRE log show what files have been rewritten?
I mentioned it before, and know it's a silly question, but have you placed the new consist in the AI train's path?
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
The loose consist was placed on the same siding as the brake van that was picked up at the start of the activity. I don't know what path the AI train had but I doubt it went to that location and even if it did I'm thinking it would pass straight through that loose consist I placed.
I wouldn't know what to look for in the TSRE log I would copy and paste it here but it's huge and goes on forever! If needed I guess I could zip it and send it via another forum's pm system tomorrow? Let me know.

Nick

Hi Nick,
As I mentioned before, I've hardly used TSRE but, certainly, you could zip it up and send it as an attachment to a PM on trainsim.com.
I won't promise to be able to find anything pertinent, but you never know!
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
Here's another 'funny' for you
I've just opened the route in TSRE 8004, not done anything except move the view around a bit. When closing, it wanted to save 3 World files! Why??
Repeated the above with v7.012. It didn't offer to save anything but just closed.
Did the same with 0.8001 and it wanted to save the same 3 World files.
Repeated my first test but, this time, I saved the three World files, then compared them with the originals. There were HUGE differences!!
It appears that the ViewDbSphere entries have been removed from all three files and several other modifications made but I haven't checked them.
The matching .ws files were also modified and rewritten. Again, I ask, WHY?
OK, here's the clincher for you!!
The original World file 6047 14907 contains calls to shapes Ashford3, Ashford3a and Ashford3b. You'll probably recall these are the shapes used in the 'missing gantry' report earlier (Ashford3.s being the gantry itself).
The same world file, modified by 0.8004 only contains Ashford3a and Ashford3b shape files, hence the missing gantry.
Another, smaller, gantry in the same original World file uses shapes Ashford5 and Ashford5a. Neither is in the modified World file.
I'm going to double-check my findings tomorrow but, if confirmed, are serious errors which I'll report to Eric.
The World files don't appear to be compressed so, if you have a suitable comparison program, you should be able to check your own versions of that World file.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
Very strange eh? Yes I can confirm your findings in the world files. All the ones you mentioned are present in my original clean copy of the route, but in the latest world files as altered by TSRE 0.8001, Ashford3 and Ashford5 are definitely missing. Note that Ashford 5a IS present in my latest world files although you have it as missing.
I have sent the TSRE log via Trainsim.com as requested.
Regards,
Nick

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Nick,
Thanks for your confirmation!
Yes, Ashford5a shape file is in my modified World file - Don't know how I missed it yesterday!!
The sizes of the three files modified in my run have also been substantially reduced; these are their names and sizes :
6046 14907 - Original 377KB ----- Modified 334KB
6047 14907 - Original 522KB ----- Modified 458KB
6047 14908 - Original 86KB ------- Modified 74KB
You said that 5 files had been changed. Maybe two can be accounted for by the consist itself and the World file it's been added to but I wonder if the other three are the same as mine? If you could also confirm these values, there's no need for me to re-run all my tests! However, I will repeat the v0.7012 test.
Cheers,
Ged

Re: South East Steam route. Dover Goods activity
Hi Ged,
I've checked my 'clean' copy of World files and compared it with the one altered by TSRE 0.8001.
All files in the altered folder are smaller, as are yours, but mine are altered by slightly different amounts!
These are the altered files now on my system:
6046 14907 376kb (yours is 334)
6047 14907 516kb (yours is 458) *Additionally my 'clean' copy of this file is 523kb. Yours is 522kb.
6047 14908 85kb (yours is 74kb.)
Of course none of these different figures alters the fact that the TSRE 0.8 series has an error which is changing the file size, albeit by different amounts for the two of us.
By the way, are the AI trains now also getting stuck at that same signal on your system too, once your files have been corrupted by the TSRE 0.8 series?
Regards,
Nick
