Route Name = THE CAMBRIAN 2 ROUTE - "THE CAMBRIAN RAILWAY"

Cambrian 2 by 3DTS Cambri10

Route Author = 3DTS

Route Location = North and Mid Wales

Route Mileage = 213 miles

Route Era = circa 1960 but activities cover the time between the mid 1930s and mid 1970s

Route Source = download from 3DTS

Additional files required to be installed = none

Route Description =

An MSTS route supplied as a downloadable payware route from the US, and at current exchange rates is somewhere between £45 and £50.

“The area is bounded by Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Aberystwyth and Pwllheli; with various branch lines included.

The emphasis is steam but diesels are very much catered for. The stock includes GWR and BR era freight and passenger stock. Steam locos include Dukedogs, Prairies, Manors, Moguls and BR Std 4 Tank. Diesels are early DMUs, Class 25 and shunters.

It’s not really worth getting just the first part as there are only 20 GWR activities included mostly in the Porthmadog area.
The full breakdown of available activities is as follows :-

Part 1 GWR acts from 1935 to 1939 - 20 Activities
Free Dukedog download - 8 Activities
Part 2 1939 to 1976 - 120 Activities
20 Free Diesel Activities download - 20 Activities

This gives a grand total of 168 activities to run. Many of the steam era based activities are freight.
The further 110 activities in the UKTS library ranging from pre GWR days to the modern era are no longer available due to the closure of UKTS.”

Please note that this post was put together by Martin (Mendes).
