Horace problem
Hi guys,
I've posted this problem on TrainSim.com forum recently but without a solution. Now having discovered this site I'm turning to you all for any help you may be able to give. I've recently download the Horace utility but I find that upon selecting the MSTS global tsection dat in the "select tsection dat" box at the top of the Horace popup, Horace promptly locks up and I get a "not responding" message before I even get as far as selecting the route in the box below. Has anyone else experienced this or can offer any help please?
Nick

Re: Horace problem
Hi Nick,
Which version of Horace did you download?
I see that v1.1 is available separately on trainsim.com. If this is the one you're trying to use, may I suggest that you get v2.1 which is in tk_utils.zip?
Cheers,
Ged

Re: Horace problem
Hi (again) Ged,
Sadly the version I'm using is already 2.1. Thanks for the tip though.

Re: Horace problem
Fixed it Ged!! Got a reply from the great man Goku himself on Trainsim.com. Updated to the latest version of TSRE which auto-detects and corrects any route with this problem. Quote: TSRE has AUTO FIX for that for years. No need for Horace.

Hi Nick,
That's wonderful, mate
... and very kind of Goku, in view of the health problems he's having.
I'll put a note in my archive!!
Cheers.

Re: Horace problem
Looking at that TSRE link, it appears that if any W files and TDB are out of sync, this can be fixed automatically! Is that correct? Or I'm I misreading that link?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Horace problem
Yes coolhand101 it really was that simple. Once I'd downloaded a newer version of TSRE than I'd previously been running I just selected a route and if the global tsection was out of sync with the route's tsection then the programme fixed it automatically. All of my route tsections now start in the 40000 series.

Nick
