Alec and I had a really nice trip on the East Lancs railway today, the weather was good and the rain held off, the train was hauled by, LMS Hughes Fowler Crab 2-6-0 No. 13065.

Yes it certainly was a good day out, and we both felt that we should root out our ELR route for a compare and contrast session.

Thanks Andy. OK

I hadn't realized you had taken that pic Alec. Shocked Laughing

I have given the ELR route a run and compared it with the real thing, It is a reasonable representation of the real thing, especially the station areas, though some of the small businesses such as scrapyards etc. along the route, and a sewerage works are not represented in the MSTS version of the route, there are many more trees and other veg on the real thing too, but that is probably due to the object count limitations in MSTS.
